Often when I am taking videos or pictures I want to block out the background to make things a little more private and to make the pictures or videos stand out more.I have been using room dividers that are awkward to use and a real pain to set up.I saw this backdrop stand and thought it would be a simple way to put up a backdrop when I am taking pictures and videos.The backdrop stand arrived well-packaged. It comes with a cloth carrying bag that has 3 compartments. These compartments hold the 2 tripod stands and the 4 cross pieces. 2 sandbags can hold sand, rocks, bottles of water, or anything else heavy. These are mainly for outside use where wind may be a factor.Assembly is very easy. You pull out the tripod legs, extend the tripods to the desired height then put the cross bars on with the thumb screw. You can use anywhere from 2 to 4 cross bar pieces making the backdrop from 5.3 to 10 feet wide. You can make the tripods up to 7 feet high.These adjustments give you a lot of flexibility in creating the perfect size backdrop that you need.Assembly took me less than 5 minutes without looking at the included manual. It is very straightforward.The carrying bag is perfect and it is very easy to put the stand back in it when done.Once together the stand is very sturdy. It comes with clamps and clips for attaching any backdrop material that you want to use.I am very happy with this backdrop stand. It is very versatile, easy to set up, and very reasonably priced and I do recommend it.

It's important to set expectations upfront: this isn't professional studio gear. Instead, it's a budget-friendly option for specific needs. For those starting out in photography or working within a budget, the Anautin backdrop stand offers a decent entry point.

So what do youi get for your money? It comes with a full kit: 2 tripod stands, a 4-section crossbar, 8 clamps, 6 clips for stretching your backdrop, 2 "sandbag pouches", and a convenient carrying bag. For around 70 CAD, this is a fair amount of equipment.

Setting up the stand is quite easy. The tripods and crossbar extend, offering flexibility in terms of backdrop size and the space you're working in. You can adjust the crossbar up to 10 feet and the tripods to 7 feet.

As expected with a budget product, the stand is made of light metal with plastic knobs. The manufacturer claims it's suitable for outdoor use, but I wouldn't recommend it. While the concept of the shape of the supplied "sandbags" sounds like a good idea, hugging the tripod legs from all three sides, it's not practical. I would call them sandbag pouches rather than sandbags. Nevertheless, the pouches are small and do not fit my sandbags, so I got roid of them and used my traditional sandbags instead. Even with the sandbags, the stand seems flimsy in windy conditions. The crossbar also tends to bow with heavier backdrops when fully extended. The clamps, however, are strong and hold the backdrop in place without slipping. The clips are also a nice touch, helping to keep your backdrop taut.

So, who it's for and who it's not for? This backdrop stand is not for everyone. If you're looking for professional-grade equipment or plan to shoot outdoors, look elsewhere. However, for indoor use with lighter backdrops, it's a serviceable option. It's perfect for portrait photography, product photography, or other light-duty work where durability isn't a major concern.

I've got to tell you that this Anautin company did a great job with putting together a large sized backdrop stand kit for a great price! I'm not a professional photographer or decorator but I do have some experience in both, and I also have another large backdrop frame that I paid more than twice what this one cost and they're very comparable.
This Anautin backdrop stand is 10 ft wide x 7 ft high and came with frame clips, fabric stretch bands, and leg covers that you can add baggies of sand or even handheld weights to for anchoring the stand poles down securely. It also came in a very functional storage bag which was even better than the one that goes with my pricier frame. Please note that this frame is not made of as heavy-duty metal as my first one, but it's plenty tough for the occasional decoration setup and photo session at family events. The telescoping poles work well and tighten down with gentle latching of the plastic locking mechanisms and the top pole screws onto large bolt screws at the top after the pole are clipped into one another.
This frame is simple and straightforward to use. I assembled and set it up by myself in minutes. I was even able to decorate it by myself without having to adjust the poles up and down because I'm 5'.7" and yet this setup was still plenty high for pictures and such.
This set was purchased because I'm having to travel this summer and help with a close family member's wedding. This frame set is lightweight, packs up for traveling in a smaller space than my other frame, and yet it's of comparable length and height. So, I think this set is a GREAT purchase, an excellent value, and by taking care of it, I'm sure it will last for years. I highly recommend this 10 ft wide x 7 ft high, Anautin backdrop stand for all of those occasional decorators and family photographers, and even to pros who need a back-up or lighter-convenient travel set. This is a great deal!

There's nothing to fuss about with this backdrop stand. This has to be like the 5th or 6th one I've owned over the years. It's height & width adjustable, so you can use different sized backdrops on it. The stand itself is stable and sturdy, although lightweight and easy to carry around. There's a carry bag that comes with it. It has clamps to keep the backdrop secured. You can use this for professional photography, hobbyist, or whatever your needs may be. Having a backdrop makes your pictures much easier to edit & they look more professional and polished.
