The photo shows the leg locked into step. Note that the hinges are not straight.The video shows the bottom hinge folding inwards with the movement of the stool.Seriously, it's probably fine if you're just putting up or taking down things. But if you're moving around rearranging things, it'll lose it's stability.I may have given it too many stars but it did support my weight and what I was doing. Just be observant with those hinges.

I have the lower version of the same folding stool and I've found it very handy around the house. The 18" height makes it acceptable to use as a portable seat. It is also a good height to reach the upper cupboards in my kitchen (I used to have to use a step ladder)

I purchase this stool for use with our Jayco RV which sits higher than my previous RV. This will give me the reach I need to get at things on the trailer that are just out of reach from the ground. When folded it does not take up much room and it is easy to open up to put into action. It looks a feels like it is not very stable and secure but when I stand on it it does not waver and holds me steady. All in all, a good little portable folding stool.
