After doing a bunch of research, I picked these up to replace the thin stock windscreen for the MV7. Cheaper and a more natural aesthetic than the SM7 replacements, which are hard to find given their popularity.
To emulate the original dimensions, I trimmed ~1 inch off the bottom of one of these windscreens. And left the other longer as another option. Huge immediate improvement on plosives! Since the foam thickness is the same on the sides and top.
On the trimmed screen, it’s got *just* enough narrowness to stay on when the mic capsule when the unit is upside down. But it does get a little more slack over time and comes off easier. I never really record in that position anyways, so nbd for me.
