You can watch the time change on the tuner right after you tune in the string!
I’m not satisfied!

Unfortunately, as other reviewers stated, this does not stay in tune. I can physically feel the legs turn against me as I’m letting go. I’ve pushed them in as far as I can, some even so far as to see the textured grip come out the other side.
I started tuning it about 3 clicks sharp, and then it managed to stay in tune a little better, but it’s still not staying like it should, and it’s really frustrating not to be able to just pick it up and play, especially as it’s for my daughter (10yo), who struggles to tune it herself without help.
That being said, for the price point and the sound quality, I’d probably buy it again because it’s exactly what I needed it to be—a cheap harp to learn the basics on.

Based on the YouTube and Amazon reviews on the Aklot harp, I decided to take a chance and purchase this harp. The harp was tuned a lot in the first couple of days. I now tune it once a day and it is always just a little flat, but very quick and easy to tune back up.
This harp obviously does not sound like my Camac or Triplett but is serves a purpose. This harp is a true lap harp and I will enjoy playing it out in my garden and taking it places without any worry of possible damage.
I have been able to adapt a lot of my harp music to play on this harp and have had so much fun just noodling around on it.
The harp arrived quickly, and everything was included in the package that was advertised. The carrying case is quite thin and I plan to make one that will protect the harp a little more. This is a great deal and a great little harp!
I feel I must again emphasize that this harp is more of a toy than a instrument. The quality of the strings and wood make for a poor tone.
But the cheap wood also makes it super lightweight. I am physically very weak, so I really appreciate that this little harp is so portable. I could hang it over my shoulder while hiking through the woods and forget I’m carrying it. It is also very comfortable to hold and play.
A big drawback is that the strings quickly fall out of tune. I have tuned it everyday for two weeks which normally would be enough time for nylon strings to settle. The seller suggested gently hammering in the tuning pegs if they quickly go out of tune. So I followed their advice and it helped a little. The notes now fall only slightly out of tune. It’s frustrating, but I decided to not worry about it since I won’t be performing with it. Being slightly off key isn’t a big deal when chilling on the beach.
I would NOT recommend this toy harp for learning how to play the harp for two reasons.
1) it has only two octaves which is not enough strings for both hands. Most melodies (which the right hand plays) will use two octaves, so this harp has no room for your left hand to play bass/rhythm.
2) when playing a chord (several notes at once) the tone sounds pretty bad.
For a toy, it is very pretty. I really like the mahogany color. I’ve seen this same harp available in pink, blue, and white, but I prefer this wood stained model.
If you buy it expecting a toy you will be very pleased. If you buy it expecting a fine instrument, you will be disappointed. I expected a toy, and I am happy with it.
