Tested in Maui Easter 2023
I shoot a Nikon Z6 and bought this little video camera last min for just over 100$. I took it out surfing where I videoed my kids and turtles. I gave it to my kids to take snorkeling (in underwater mode) and they got great video of each other the reef and fish galore. Then I used a suction mount to put on the rental camero convertible and used it with vibration control on and drive the Hana hwy with it recording hours of that crazy road. This little camera’s video is good enough for all of that and more. Best bang for the buck I’ve spent in a long time. The memory cards are cheap and lots of accessories. Did I mention we used it on the jungle zip line and got better footage than the guy with the gopro he paid 5x’s more for strapped to his head. (Don’t do that- we held the thing and it worked fine). You would think spending 100$ wouldn’t buy you much but you would be wrong. Spend the 100$ and really you don’t need to spend a dime more. Absolutely NOTHING wrong with this camera. It worked great. Batteries lasted long time and having two charged was all it took to drive the entire Hana hwy and back in an afternoon. I will take the time to upload some pictures and video just so everyone can see the quality but for my purposes this thing worked great and if o r of the kids would have dropped it or wrecked it snorkeling or surfing or what ever, no biggie. It’s not like the go pro we lost mounted to my kids ski helmet a couple years ago! I’m still upset I ever paid that much for a little sport camera. Simply no need when unites like this are 100$. My honest, maui tested opinion. Please realize I use my Nikon for my serious shots and videos but this unit filled in all the gaps I didn’t want to risk the good camera shooting like in water! Get one. You won’t be sorry.
