First off each individual one was in a ziplock bag then four of those in another ziplock bag which was then clear (invisible) taped closed. What a pain to open!
Diagrams show the threads are .7” - false!
They are .81”. I drilled a .75” hole and they didn’t fit so then I tapped the hole with a standard 1/2” pipe tap. Nope! Still will not fit. Luckily it was a thin plastic box so I was able to force it in. The threads are a fine pitch so don’t even try to put them in a threaded hole electrical box. The might fit a standard 1/2” knockout using the nuts.
Next… there is a lot (about 1/8”) of in & out play on each side when a cables are plugged in so I hope they work when my project is finished

This works great. Good way to extra proof electronics inside a case if an Ethernet port is needed. It's a simple as using a step drill, putting the connector in, tightening the nut, and connect with two cables. The quality is good. The cap has an extra o-ring. Since the cap is rubber I recommend to not expose the connectors to direct sun light. I hope this helps to make a decision.
