What should i do if the shock function doesn't work?

  • Make sure the shock function has not been locked, press the knob button to unlock it
  • Put the test light on the prongs, make sure the wire is connected with the 2 prongs, then press the shock button if the test light lights up, it means the shock works.
  • Make sure the collar is worn correctly, the prong has good contact with the dog's skin, and won't cause irritation to the dog's skin

Why are 36 static shock levels better and safer than 8/16/99 level e-collars?

  • Here’s the problem: if a level 5 can't get the dog's attention, you have to go up to a level 6. On an e-collar with a lot of different intensity levels, this is a very small change. However, on an 8/16 level e-collar, dialing from a 5 to a 6 is a big jump — and it can be very stressful for your dog.
  • When it comes to 99-level e-collars, most dog owners won’t be using about 90% of their functionality — as these are meant for professional dog trainers. Using one of the high levels on such collars by accident can cause serious discomfort to your dog.
  • With ABBIDOT's 36-level e-collar, on the other hand, you can quickly dial in the exact level required to communicate with your dog without the risk of over shock.

Our 7 month old GSP is a serial counter surfer and notorious for eating things that seem out of place (socks, mitts, etc). This has led to some very scary scenarios when he has ingested things that could be harmful or toxic. Because of his age, we are still working on voice commands, but because his food drive is so strong they have been ineffective as a deterrent.Enter the e-collar. We love that it has 3 warning types (sound, vibration, and zap). Since this was to be used as a training tool we didn't want to solely rely on the zap function. Battery life is great, range seems good too...We're happy to say he's learning quickly that he doesn't get to eat things that we don't give to him. He will often now respond to voice, beep, and vibration commands and we rarely have to use the zap function.A couple trouble spots: The shock setting worked intermittently at first, but after some trial and error with collar tightness and different prongs, it is more reliable now.Secondly, there's no easy way to check the shock level setting when the collar is on the dog without shocking them, which seems wrong... You need to test the setting before putting the collar on which is a pain in the rear.Lastly, we don't love the rotary dial with push button shock lock out. It's a dumb design. Needs either a push button up/down for each function or a rotary dial for each function. By the time you fiddle through the settings it's too late. Being a training collar you need quick and easy access to settings.Great tool, has helped us immensely, but needs some improvements to be perfect, hence the 4 stars.

Firstly, I want to state my intended use for this collar was for the noise feature and the vibration feature, not for the electric-shock use. However, I did test the shock collar on my hand at a 20/30 intensity, and it felt like a Taser in my palm! PLEASE TEST THIS ON YOURSELF before you do it to your dog. The shock is so intense that with a smaller breed, you COULD SERIOUSLY HARM YOUR DOG. I'm not against using shock colors, but you need to be aware of how intense this is before using it loosely.

Now, regarding what I can attest to!

The battery life is fantastic! I charge this roughly once a week and have zero issues.

The range seems to be great too! I haven't quite gone 3000ft away, but the collar seems to work hundreds of yards away while at a park.

The vibration is very strong, enough to startle your dog on the higher settings (great if you don't like the shock feature).

The noise feature (beep) is loud and can be heard by your dog easily.

The controller is easy to use, handles well, and makes it difficult to accidentally shock your dog.

Overall, I dont have anything bad I can say about this product. The product does its job so well that I can't really see any reason to use a higher-end model unless you are sold on a touchscreen feature or are dealing with a dog prone to destroying their collars, and need a ultra-durable model.

Look I always thought things like this are cruel, but truth be told used correctly this is a great method for training if clickers and other attention grabbers are just not grabbing focus to redirect your dogs attention and if you are a patient trainer this method works very well.

-There are 3 modes to choose from, a tone, a vibration, or a static shock.

Keep in mind this is a very well trained dog with some bad habits that required correction, primarily attention to commands, although understood ignored, this device has bridged the gap and everything clicked, a week later the device hasn't been worn for a couple days, perfect behaviour, but the dog is exceptional to start.

You need to have good training to begin with, if you are considering this device to begin your journey of training, this does not replace time love and tolerance for a puppies wonder and phases. This product is great after the fundementals to nail down the remaining insecurities, fears, or that phase after intense training the teeenage phase where your well trained dog understands the commands but is meh no thanks.

I tested the static shock on myself I feel it at 7 and can not experience any discomfort until 12-15.
Armed with this info I fit the collar confirmed with my fingers skin contact under my fur babies thick king sheppard collar of fur. Started at 3 and got to 7 before I saw a WTF moment i his eyes and his ears perked, taking that spark of interest I immediately diverted his attention to me, issued the command 'heel' and started walking, boom he was there, and in position walking.

Also used the device a couple times to shift attention from other dogs while on walks, and people he felt leary of, kids and friendly vibe people were never an issue. He sure loves his people and is very protective of the kids. In this task the device works flawlessly a vibrate is all that was required.

So now my wife walks him with no problems in terms of him being very demanding with pulling her where he wanted despite his training, this and the behaviours we had issue with corrected quickly and this tool helped alot.

Easy to use, great battery life, this product is contructed well, ergonomic, intuative, discrete, and it's water proof as well! Thank you Abbidot

I ordered this e-collar to aid in training my dog as we are trying to get him used to being off leash in large areas since we are planning on doing lots of camping this summer. I really like the design of the remote as well as the device on the collar itself. The range is great and it is working to get the attention of my Irish setter. We are using the “tone” function mostly and occasionally the vibrate to get his attention if the tone doesn’t immediately grab his attention (which it mainly does). The only downsides to this collar is that you cannot interchange the device onto another collar you already have and there’s no loop to add a dog ID tag. The second thing is the tone has 1-16 options for intensity, I can’t really hear any difference from about setting 10-16 in the range. Other than these two small things I am happy with the purchase and I did already recommend to a family member for their dog!

Seems to be very well made. The collar has lots of room for adjusting to get a perfect fit. Comes with different attachments for long or short haired dogs.
It has a lot of features I like. The remote has a safety lock for all three modes, tone, vibration and shock so there are no "accidents." There is a wide range of levels in all three modes. It comes with a very detailed clearly written instruction booklet. The remote isn't too big and bulky. Easily fits in a pocket.
I have only used the tone and vibration settings with my dog and they have been very effective and greatly enhanced her training.

I got the large collar. Very pleased with its functions. 5 different settings from noise, vibration and shock. Remote works very well. The shock setting is not one that hurts the dog. Just gets his attention and he seems to understand his limits. The vibration he felt but only looked around to see if something was touching him. It didn’t deter him from his behavior. I think after a few shocks. The vibration will be fine to remind him. Reasonable price

As it turns out, the problem I had with my ABBIDOT dog training collar was my own fault (I didn’t realize that when the round knob used to increase / decrease intensity is in the “locked” position, the hand controller is locked and will not operate - you must unlock it to use it). Once learning this the training collar has worked flawlessly and I couldn’t be more satisfied.

Flashlight function is nice as my neighborhood has dark spots. Stopped working after a few uses. Other functions work well. Slight delay from click of remote to vibrate or beep. A higher price point so I wish the flashlight function continued working.

UPDATE:
I was contacted by Abbidot. Let me repeat, they contacted me!! They offered to replace or refund as my original order was partially defective. I opted to replace and they immediately sent me a new unit. The collar works great (as did the original order). I have placed countless orders on Amazon, and can honestly say, this is the ONLY company that has reached out to me and stood firmly behind their product. Would highly recommend.

The Abbidot training collar has worked wonders for my dogs!! They went from being uncontrollable on the leash to walking without pulling a single bit. Our 3 year old was even able to walk our 90lb dog, something I never thought possible. Our walks went from being a stressful to enjoyable thanks to this e-collar. The customer service is also amazing. My puppy chewed off my older dogs collar & destroyed the band. I reached out to Abbidot to see if they could send me a new band. They one upped me and sent an entirely new collar at no cost within a couple of days. I give this product & company a 10 out of 10!!

Many things to love about this product.
The main thing I love is the company and how quickly and knowledgeable they are to respond to their customers.
The instantly communication from the remote to the collar is wonderful, I've used other collars that you needed to keep pushing the buttons over and over again to hear the beep.
The new collar is slimmer then any other one I've used.
The LED bright white light makes tracking my dog at night a real safety feature.
The area at the bottom makes for a strong place to attach a lanyard around my neck.
The range is great which give my dog the feeling of freedom but allows me to still be in control.
