So we will get one thing out of the way. This product is a cheeper version of what professional gear feels like. But I was pleasantly surprised with it's ease of use and good light quality for a great price. The build:This unit feels on the light side. From the light stands to the soft boxes, they all have an airy feel to them. This unfortunately means, subpar build quality. But we must not forget that you're getting 2 light stands 2 soft boxes and 2 bulbs for just over 100$. All components feel very breakable so be gentle when using these lights. The speed centre ring design was a nice touch and made opening and closing the reflector a breeze. But do not force it into place it will snap the fragile rods. The soft box tilt mechanism is a bit fiddly to get just right. Do not over-tighten it or you will strip the plastic grooves. Also be careful not to get your finger caught in the tilt mechanism when adjusting the angle. The stands suffer from the same subpar build, with flimsy feeling screws and tightening dials. But they do work surprisingly well with the light weight of the soft boxes. Plus they can collapse to a very transportable 25 inches and expand to 79 inches. Witch is a great hight for different lighting applications. But they are so light that, using them outdoors is tricky and might lead to you damaging the unit. So indoor use is recommended.LED:These lights come with a 85 watt bulb but with 2 distinct coloured chips. This means the total light output is half of what a single chip set can provide. But if you combine both chips to get a white light then you will achieve the full light output this unit can provide. The 85w bulb is equivalent to 1400 lunes peak. Each end of the spectrum will get you around 700 lumens. But you will loose around 25% if you add the diffusion paper.CRI: This light does have a bit of a magenta cast and above average CRI around 90%. Some of the hues are a bit off when cycling the colour spectrum of orange to blue light. Leading to some skin discolouration and lacklustre tones. But keep in mind, you are on the low end of what is out there.. High end lights will start at 280$ and go from there.Setup time:From start to finish it takes around 3 minutes for each light to be fully assembled. Then it might take you around 7 to 15 minutes to find the right angle and setup for your subject. The remote:The lights come with a remote that controls the usual suspects. batteries include.quick setup = pre made colour temp and light output.plus minus = light output intensitycolour shift= blue to warmon off toggle.Final thoughts:Although these lights and stands are on the cheeper side of the spectrum. They offer a great way to experience and understand light modifiers and their uses, without braking the bank. For someone wanting to get into video or photography on a budget. Or maybe a streamer or live podcaster that is just starting out then these might be the right choice for you.

Good price for the light, easy to use and mostly easy to assemble as well. My only real complaint though is the difficulty in packing and unpacking this light if you are looking to move this around frequently. I would have loved to see a better carrying bag, but it is possible to use other bags you already have and I'd recommend doing that.

Good out of the box for a small studio, overall not too expensive and saves time compared to a DIY light.

You should know that these aren't strobes, it's constant light which is reflected in the price you pay. Having said that, constant light is great for video and photos so it's pretty versatile.

Easy to set up, comes with a convenient carry case to put everything away. If you have nothing and want to get started, you can't really go wrong here, although it may make you want to upgrade sooner.

I'm in no way a pro photographer, nor do I really care about video. But it's always nice to have soft light for the occasional time I want to take pictures of a product or of people with controlled lighting. What's nice about constant light as well is that you can see with your eyes how the light falls on a subject before you take pictures. Whereas with a strobe, you'd have to take a test shot and then readjust.

I knocked off a star because I think you can probably get something like this a bit cheaper. Although you get everything you need to get started in the package, I feel like it's probably a little overpriced for what you're getting.

It's easy to set up, but I can't comment on dismantling it because I've just left it setup where it is and don't need to take it apart just yet.
