It's really a Hitachi inside. Works really well. It's not a SSD, like all traditional hard drives - slapping it around while it's doing it's thing (running) will produce much sadness.
Drive that I received writes and reads at USB 3.0 speeds. Full format without errors. Seems there are some very "biased" reviewers who judge their books by it's covers. Yes the drive has Chinese characters on it, and the name of the volume disk has Chinese characters, which can be changed, but if one chooses to hide in the dark fearful of new things that's their problem.
