Set up in minutes: I heard a loud thud on my front door as the delivery person frisbeed the package across my driveway, so taking advantage of the few mins in between conference calls I ran outside to pick up the package and plug it in just to make sure nothing was broken. Instead of checking for device survival only, I was able to set it up and load pics before my next call. Super intuitive.

We're having so much fun adding pics/ editing the reel: flexibility of display styles, ease of uploading/changing out pics, variability in display speed; this all adds to the fun of refreshing the reel once every while. I loaded the SD card and nothing. I have no clue what to do with this now. So I tried to connect it directly to my computer, plugged it in via micro usb and it never connected to the computer.

I officially give up on this digital picture frame. It sounds like a good deal but it's a paperweight at this point.

I got this because I needed a frame for a daily slideshow application. Before I used to have a low resolution one with manual buttons.

Features I like:
+ High brightness and resolution
+ screen turns off to save power and turns on when motion is detected, which seems to work well.
+ corrects for rotation which is great as the stand can be configured for all the 4 sides
+ sd card and usb works as expected

Neutral features:
I probably don’t see myself using the Wi-Fi app for transferring and sharing photos but it might be useful for folks looking to do it. I did try it just for fun and it works.

Cons:
The user interface could be much better.
The Home Screen seems pretty useless for the most part because there is no way to program how long and when the Home Screen should appear vs the photo screen.
Also when on the home screen, the photos get cropped instead of resized. I feel this could have been a setting too.
Also wish it had a feature for setting a daily or weekly or user programmable period for the slideshow.

Overall, I would give it a solid 4/5. It is good enough for my task and is a good value for the cost spent.

I purchased this for my mother and she absolutely loves it. The ability to play music and random pictures automatically is a great feature and this does the job perfectly. I will note that the instructions are a little lacking, but some common sense applies as follows with an SD card or thumb drive:

1. Make sure you use separate folders for music, videos and images. This unit does NOT like the various media mixed together in a single folder or at the root level. It will NOT work unless you separate your media properly.

2. The remote has a lanyard hole in it. I recommend you use a line to attach the remote to the back of the unit to insure it doesn't get lost. If you lose the remote, it is very difficult to operate this system without it.

3. If you feel the unit is in a precarious place, use velcro on the base to better secure it.

All in all, a great piece of tech and it's solidly built. The picture is great and the special effects transitions do a great job. There is a built is speaker and it is Ok, but there is a sound jack and you can get great sound from external speakers. The big test? My mother is tech challenged and figured out the operation pretty quickly. It doesn't get better than that.
