So far we really like the Frameo. It's very easy to set-up and we like that people can be added to the Frameo so you can reach add photos to it. Works easily over WiFi and photos load quickly. Photos can also be adjusted on the frame so they show up just how you want them. This will be a great gift for the grandparents. And now, when we have a photo we can really add it from afar. It also has some nice features like the weather and you can add details to each photo. The Stand allows you to put it in vertical or horizontal position. Overall, we like this frame and recommend it.

Gave this to my mother-in-law as a belated Christmas gift in mid-January. She absolutely loved it. But, in mid-March it stopped working — it is just stuck on the Frameo loading screen. Frameo (the software developer) customer service recommended a few things, none of which fixed the issue. They said I’d need to speak with the maker of the hardware, AKImart, but I can’t find any way to contact them beyond leaving a review.

She’s really disappointed that this device stopped working as she was really enjoying it for the first 2 months.

Bought this as a holiday gift for my parents, so that my siblings and I could upload pictures with our kids and dogs. You can set up timers so it turns on and off at a certain time of the day, to save electricity. you have to make sure that the photo frame tablet connects to the Wi-Fi, after which you download an app, which is where you upload the photos to and make sure to link it to your photo frame. Once you get it set up, it’s super easy. My parents really like watching the slideshow and seeing new photos being uploaded. The visuals are high-quality, and it works great.

My parents, who are really incredibly terrible with technology, love this digital frame. Mom, originally lamented having yet another digital thing that I was giving to them to try to get them better connected with their grandchildren... We've tried doing Skype and Teams, I've gotten them laptops and tablets, and in the end they haven't been used very much, partly because I am not there to help them to use it and deal with the technical issues. However, this one was great and my mom made clear to tell me that. The best part for her is that she doesn't have to do anything. I just post my photos and they automatically show up on her digital frame. I had set it up while I was at their house, but since then they have not had to do anything with it. It also turns on and off automatically at pre-selected times. It handles videos which are limited to 15 seconds, which I think is perfect for a digital frame. Also, I want to mention that the Frameo app that is needed to post photos from the phone is not very good at *finding* certain photos that you may have organized in another app, like Google photos. However, once I figured out that you can use the "Share" feature to share the photos directly from Google photos, I search in Google photos and select all of the photos that I want to post and then share with Frameo ... With this process, it has been a lot more enjoyable to use! Frameo doesn't have a whole lot of other features or settings like calendar or video calls or anything like that... But I think that is perfect because it was designed for one thing and it does that one thing well instead of trying to do everything and making things complicated in the process. In my opinion, that's really a major problem that we have with technology and people of the older generations... Smartphones and tablets have a lot of amazing things that they can do and that parents and grandparents can benefit from, but when they only want to do things like have a video call or just see some pictures of there kids, I think that having a single purpose device, like this one, is the best solution.

Stopped working after eight months and no way to get the warranty covered. Displays a message saying " frameo isn't responding". Tried rebooting but still won't work. Can't recommend this product as it won't last.

Update: The Akimart company was very responsive and willing to help. Turned out that my frame wasn't renewing it's IP lease reservation for some reason. I reset my DHCP server and it re-connected and is operating properly now. I will continue to watch it's function and will communicate with the Akimart people if something goes wrong again. Updated review to four stars simply for the support from Akimart.
