In 2024, our Canadian Amazon Logistics (AMZL) teams have been active across the country, partnering with local organizations to support those in need. Through the efforts of our delivery stations, we've made significant contributions to various charitable causes, demonstrating our commitment to community engagement and support.

Habitat for Humanity Heartland

One of the highlights of our community efforts is our partnership with Habitat for Humanity Heartland in London, ON. Amazonians took part in community engagement activities, working alongside local leaders and colleagues to support the organization. In addition to their volunteer efforts, the team donated $2,500 to Habitat for Humanity to help meet the basic needs of the community. This donation will aid in building homes and providing stability for families in need, reinforcing our commitment to being good for communities by improving lives through sustainable housing solutions.

Cambridge Food Bank

Our delivery station in Kitchener, ON, kicked off its community engagements by donating 300 items, weighing 1,248 lbs., to the Cambridge Food Bank. This organization offers essential food and support to individuals and community groups within Cambridge and North Dumfries. The donated items will play a crucial role in promoting health, fostering trust, and enhancing connections within the community. This effort underscores our dedication to fighting hunger and supporting local food security initiatives.

Vancouver Hack Space Society

Our delivery station in Surrey, BC, in collaboration with our fulfilment centre in Richmond, BC – YXX2, donated 459lbs. of electronic waste valued at over $11,776 to the Vancouver Hack Space Society (VHS). VHS is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit workshop that provides tools, equipment, space, and knowledge to community members. They utilize donations like ours to conduct electronic and welding workshops for youth and offer a creative space for local artists. This partnership helps divert electronic waste from landfills while fostering education and creativity in the community.
