design

The design of the Realme GT 6 is similar to that of its younger sibling GT 6T with the only difference being the protruding LED flash housing. Also, the glossy glass back is prone to smudges but the device is very comfortable to hold as it is lightweight.

display

The Realme GT 6 features a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED display which is an LTPO panel with 120Hz variable refresh rate and 6,000 nits peak brightness. Every aspect of the display is top of the line and you won't have any complaints against it.

rear camera

For optics, the Realme GT 6 features a 50MP+50MP+8MP rear camera setup. The overall camera quality is very close to the Realme GT 6T. However, the Realme GT 6 handles the dynamic range better than its younger sibling.

front camera

The 32MP camera at the front captures decent photos which retain a good level of details and accurate skin tones, however, the images appear to be slightly overprocessed.

performance

The Realme GT 6 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC which performs well in benchmarks but throttles a lot in CPU throttle tests. That said, the device performs exceptionally well in the real world and can handle graphically demanding games with ease.

software

The Realme GT 6 runs on Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14. It comes with numerous pre-installed apps but most of them can be uninstalled. Apart from this, the software offers several customisation options and some new AI features.

battery

The 5,500mAh battery of the Realme GT 6 lasts for almost 15 hours in the PC Mark battery test. Based on our testing, we found the battery to be efficient in normal tasks as well as during gaming.

charging

The Realme GT 6 supports 120W charging and the charger is provided in the box. It takes 30 minutes to charge the device from 20% to 100%.

verdict

Priced at Rs 40,999, the Realme GT 6 offers an exceptional display paired with flagship performance and a decent set of cameras. However, the design and the UI aren't the most appealing aspects of the device. If you can get it at a discounted price of around Rs 36,000, it's certainly worth considering.
