Should you buy OnePlus Nord 3 5G now?
In our long-term review, we found the OnePlus Nord 3 5G had some heating issues, which would be concerning in the Indian summers. Even the selfie camera performance needs some work. However, the rest of the phone including its 6.74-inch AMOLED screen is smooth with up to 120Hz refresh rate, gorgeous to look at with 10-bit colour depth and HDR10+ support. This is complemented by a dual stereo speaker setup backed by Dolby Atmos.
The primary 50MP camera and 8MP ultrawide shooter have performed well in our testing. There are ample details and dynamic range and in portrait mode, the edge detection and bokeh effect were palatable. Notably, there was no glaring fish-eye effect on the ultrawide shots.
Now, priced at Rs 19,999, you also have options like Realme Narzo 70 Pro and iQOO Z9. Both these phones offer brighter displays than Nord 3. They also boot Android 14 out of the box while Nord 3 ships with Android 13. But, OnePlus Nord 3 users can update their devices to Android 14-based OxygenOS 14.
