A couple of months after launching the Infinix Note 40 series globally, the company seems to be working on bringing a new affordable model to the lineup. The handset in question is the Infinix Note 40S and it is now spotted on the Indonesia Telecom and NBTC certification websites. The former listing confirms the marketing name of the phone.

  • The listing doesn’t reveal anything about the phone except that it will come with 4G LTE connectivity. This suggests the phone will be a budget offering in the series.
  • For those unaware, NBTC is an independent regulatory agency of Thailand and is responsible for overseeing the country’s broadcast and telecommunications industries, especially the regulation of radio frequencies.

  • On the other hand, the Indonesia Telecom listing confirms the marketing name Infinix Note 40s and reveals the same model number.
  • Though no hardware details are revealed about the phone at the moment, these work as a good indication to suggest the launch might be around the corner and it will be expanded to various markets.

Prior to these listings, the Infinix Note 40S was spotted on the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) certifications. The former revealed the handset would come with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. This also revealed the phone would come with Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, Glonass, BDS, and Galileo.

Infinix Note 40 series launched globally back in March, of which the Note 40 Pro and Note 40 Pro+ debuted in India last month. These were followed by the standard Infinix Note 40 5G, which launched in the Philippines recently. This means the Infinix Note 40 series currently has a total of a total of 5 models (excluding the Note 40S).

Since the Infinix Note 40S appears to be LTE only offering, it will join the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro LTE variants.
