Bharti Airtel has officially announced that it is increasing the validity of its Rs 395 plan. The pack was originally introduced with a validity of 56 days but customers can now get 70 days. However, do note that other benefits remain unchanged. This plan will look to take on Jio’s Rs 395 pack but it comes with 84 days of validity.
Airtel Rs 395 plan validity increased
- Bharti Airtel has increased the service validity of the Rs 395 plan to 70 days.
- To recall, the plan was recently introduced and offered 56 days of validity initially.
- It looks like the telecom network wants to compete better with Reliance Jio, which also offers a Rs 395 plan but has a validity of 84 days and unlimited 5G validity.
Airtel Rs 395 benefits
- The Airtel Rs 395 plan offers unlimited voice calling to any network, 600 SMS during the plan validity and 6GB of data without any daily restrictions.
- Airtel is offering Apollo 24/7 Circle, free HelloTunes, and Wynk Music.
- However, there is no unlimited 5G network support like Jio.
- Thanks to the new validity, customers now get two more weeks of service validity at the same cost.
On the other hand, Jio also has a Rs 395 prepaid plan and offers unlimited 5G data, 6GB data throughout the validity and slightly higher 1000 SMS for the 84 days of validity. You also get unlimited voice calls to any network and there are other benefits like access to JioTV, JioCinema, and JioCloud. Do note that JioCinema premium is not included in a complementary JioCinema subscription.
The Rs 395 plan is mostly beneficial for users who use calling services only and don’t really use much data. When you run out of the bunded data, customers can recharge with just data vouchers for data-consuming needs. With this new change in plan validity, it remains to be seen whether Jio will also follow Airtel and revise the plan validity from 84 days to 70 days.
New 5G plans might be introduced soon
The telecom networks are contemplating separate prices for its 5G plans and these might be 5-10 percent higher than regular 4G packs. However, the 5G plans will offer relatively more data than typical 4G plans. The main motive behind this is to recover the investments by increasing the average revenue per user (ARPU) through these new plans.
