CC has worked in partnership with Essex County Council and Saffron Walden County High School to pilot a scheme aimed at reducing barriers faced by students with special educational needs and disabilities when accessing the STEM workforce. Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming six work-experience students, aged 17 to 18, from Saffron Walden County High School. Over the week, the students participated in everything from team-building exercises and meeting with our CEO to designing antennas and programming robots. This pilot allowed us to gain valuable experience and knowledge in creating an accessible scheme. The training beforehand and the hands-on experience gained during the students' visit will allow us to shape our outreach even more effectively in the future. #STEM #SEND #OutReach #WorkExperience #Students

Neuroscience is a broad area in healthcare, and yet we are still learning how our brains work. Over the next weeks we’re sharing interviews with a leading neurosurgeon, a venture capital fund manager and a neuromodulation start-up. In these interviews we explore the current landscape of smart implants, the data they gather and how AI will be instrumental in developing clinical insights to improve not only patient care but to ease provider burnout. We are at the cusp of a great innovation leap where 10-15 years from now there will be closed loop systems of implants talking to each other in our bodies, with direct-to-organ care and healthcare delivered directly to our homes. https://lnkd.in/gkcBVD_K #Healthcare #ArtificialIntelligence #Neuroscience #MedicalDevices #DeepTech #Neuromodulation #AIinHealthcare Nandan Lad Ariane Tom, PhD Daniel Powell John Genova Ken Rys

Unlocking Industry 5.0 hinges on the orchestration of humans and machines to drive productivity and value. Central to this is the smart, connected worker: a workforce empowered by immersive digital experiences that will revolutionise the way they perceive and interact with their environment. Industry 5.0 sees a shift in focus from solely economic value to societal value, and from welfare to wellbeing. CC’s vision to achieving this future is through an exciting field we’ve termed “converged experiences” which aim to align the physical and digital worlds through extended reality (XR) multiple sensory techniques, such as 3D vision, voice and haptics, allowing users to interact with the physical world with valuable insights displayed through a digital overlay. Read our latest whitepaper from CC's Head of Digital Service Innovation Martin Cookson for your essential guide to integrating converged experiences into your business and elevating your workforce in a way that is only possible when people and machines work harmoniously together: https://hubs.li/Q02DVCdt0 #ConvergedExperience #DigitalTransformation #DigitalInnovation #DeepTech #XR #DigitalServices #Industry50 #ConnectedWorker
