we call it sagem banana in my caban because of the shape. it my 1st phone just to call and receive....

I bought this phone on 2001. and this is my first phone during studying. Doesn't have much advantages, it's ok for the first phone user.

i own a sagem mw 3020 which i have been using for more than one year now.the only problem i face is that,it is coded to use only an "orange sim card"all other sims inserted,it indicates:sim locked.please help to provide me with the code i can use to decode my phone-so that it may accept other networks.i'll very much appreciate that favour.from cameroon.

I still like my mw930, very similar except for the memory for sms-es.
What i like and no other (for this price) has or had (over a year ago):
-autonomy very good (4 days, keeping it on at night, but turning the light off @daytime)
-lightweight (99g at least mine, Li-ion batt.)
-The 7 lines make it possible to see an sms without scrolling (siemens x45 cost 5x more back then!)
-can search call memory and there's always
the option send sms -very practical
-numbered menus work anytime (not for 2-3 seconds like nokia)
-the games r cute (for a month:)
-rubber antenna don't break
-vibra-call (& alarm) strong, better than e.g. panasonic gd35 -not every cheap phone had it back then!
Drawbacks are:
-Awful uneven lighting (much better on mw3020)
-terrible keypad (I can live with it, my wife-no chance, she got N3210)
-it does restart sometimes when you send sms so you have to save'em before :)
-pretty slow (but not like the cheaper ericssons), but one can get used to it thanks to numbered menus and T9
-writing sms' without T9 almost impossible (keys r hard to press, u have to hold keys down for the next letter -awful)

I got a Sagem MC940 from a friend but he didn't give me the chargers. Can you tell me how to charge the phone with a stand alone power supply. And which pin of the battery is a plus (+) and a min (-) pin?

There are some differences in specifications, my phone was made for D2 and it has T9x2, although it has DTMF but on 19900 bps and it's adjustable. The menus are user friendly, and there is ring composer, also it has option for sending ring tone by SMS.I has it from 1 year and there aren’t any bugs and defects. I thing that this is good phone but obviously there are several problems with cracking software and decoding- my advice is use this phone with specified networks.

I bought this crap 6 months ago and it has been repaired 5 times. Thecnical support had my mobile for longer than me. 3 changes of phone. The memory is so limited that when you write a long message and try to send it, the phone will restart. And you will have to write it again, sure!!!!. Voice, horrible. You can hear the echo of your own voice. If the other keeps quiet you think the call cut off. Blocks so easily you wouldn't believe it. A great sh..!Don´t dare!!!!
