6,000 nits isn't that overkill ?? will drain battery in no time...

    Really don't understand what Realme is trying to achieve with this phone.

    SoC for gaming? Poco F6 has the same SoC and it's cheaper. So why should gamers get the GT6?
    The camera? What's the point when only the main camera is decent while the rest are mediocre? Vivo V30 Pro has much better setup + Zeiss.

    And it's not like the price is cheap. I mean when you can get an actual Samsung Galaxy S flagship with much better build quality and software, you're not a flagship "killer." The "AI" stuff is not even AI nor machine learning.

    Seems like typical with Oppo/Realme, the marketing is strong, but this thing is just another mediocre Realme phone.

      Only thing I like: The pictures from the main sensor LYT-808 are really pleasing. It shows that sensor size still matters. Noise is very well contained.

      Things I dislike: The camera island, the price.

        And realme is offering 4 years of OS you can check the live event (gsmarena made a mistake)
        Also the gt 6 is way ahead of the poco f6 so it's only reasonable for the higher price

          Although it's a smartphone from last year, the Xiaomi 13T Pro is a perfect rival for this year's GT 6. It promises 3 years of major software upgrades, so it's still very much relevant in 2024. - The 13T Pro will have 4 years of OS updates.

            Another new realme phone is realme 13 pro series by next month.

                    What a majestic surprise to see exynos 2400 topping the benchmarks

                      Battery life is good but it's weird 8 gen 3 has way better battery life than 8s and 7+ gen 3.

                        Why so much iPhone camera copies nowadays? It is ugly

                          I really like the daytime photos, battery life and fast charging. It seems like an excellent upper-midrange phone, apart from the curved screen.

                            Depending on the market and price, i think IQOO 12 can become worthy alternative for the Realme GT6. For a bit more expensive, you got true flagship 8 gen 3, not the 8s one, more potent back camera with even better 50mp ultrawide and a flagship worthy 64mp 3x periscope. And better build quality with (debatable) flat display with same resolution, almost same max auto brightness (1425 nits), glass back, and metal frame. the only negative is 5000 mah battery only, although with same 120w fast charge, and the ip rating, thats it.

                              Nice phone, a Xiaomi killer, better than anything below 14 Ultra, and more affordable!

                                Don't putting Poco F6 for a rival is a shame. Btw, the display boasts a 3+1 Pluse low-frequency flicker DC dimming and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and Al Eye Protection for reduced eye strain, but that is not important for this site obviously.

                                    I think that post about the "under $1000" is deleted since I wanted to check what I said, but I believe it was something about me not even considering this phone if it's above $600.

                                    Well it is now. It's really tough for me to consider or recommend the GT6, even after the 549€ sale thanks to the existence of Poco F6. Sure the F6 has less features and GT6 has better stuff like cameras, but I do not think it's worth the price difference. As for Civi 4, would love for camera comparison to see if one is better than the other in real life.

                                    As for the GT6T though, now that looks like a deal with the early bird 399€ price.
