It's actually ... moreSo, if the Honor Magic6 Pro's "180 megapixel" periscope camera is actually a 45 megapixel 61mm camera due to permanent analog binning, then it should actually perform worse than the Magic5 Pro regarding distant objects. I just looked at a comparison with the Magic5 Pro from the YouTube channel Versus and indeed, the Magic5 Pro offers more detail when it comes to distant objects!

I looked at the 68mm, 135mm and 270mm sample images at notebookcheck. It seems that even though Honor advertised the 270mm performance, they surprisingly seem to use 4-1 binning at 270mm at Iso 100. If they always use 16-1 or 4-1 binning, then it behaves basically not like a 180 megapixel Tetra²pixel sensor, but like a 45 megapixel Quad Bayer sensor. I wonder whether they also use 4-1 binning + upscaling for the full resolution photos?
According to notebookcheck, the 180 megapixel sensor is from Omnivision. So, it's possible that the sensor isn't able to output 180 megapixel images.

After almost a week as my daily driver the only thing I can say is what a gorgeous device.
It has go beyond my expectations in every single point. The screen is absolutely AMAZING (watch hdr/Dolby Vision content on streaming platforms is an incredible experience), the sound is the best I have heard, the battery last forever, magicOS has very interesting options and is smooth as buttery, cameras are great and full of options and formats…
It’s the best phone I ever had.

It has a better battery life, it's lighter, with thinner bezels (the black border around the phone) and thinner in general. Samsung does offer a very nice s pen and good customization, but their system software overall is not very good. Honor is unique with iphone-like customizations but more. They both have the same processer (the chip that makes the performance) but in camera the S24 ultra would win, although they are still very similar in terms of camera, but the honor magic 6 pro is better in low light/ night photography, if you find both good if I were you I would get the honor magic 6 pro. It's extremely durable (I mean extremely extremely durable, almost like a Nokia) and has lesser eye strain, meaning it's healthier for your eyes. Everything your reading is coming from me, a 10 year old!
The animations and software of the honor magic 6 pro is overall OUTSTANDINGLY better than Samsung's animations and software. I apologize for making an entire paragraph but you need to know why.
The honor magic 6 pro also offers leather material on the back if you choose the green colour. It's more comfortable, and has something I love called curved display.
Curved display is a luxurious feature where the screen is curved, not flat. Although if you want a long lasting phone, both are good but the S24 ultra offers SEVEN YEARS of software support and security support. Honor only supports FOUR.
My recommendation: honor magic 6 pro. It's a 10/10 for me.

Aftermarket cable: 30 minutes
And my cable is a 66W and I just ordered the 100W and I will test it and report back

I think, magic 6pro hardware output is awesome but specially, camera software is poor. Look at the potrait shots.

the thing like about this phone is that it does have a TOF face unlock that's works as good as an iPhone, unlike other Android phones around the camera unlock only.
