With the A35 on the market a very good buy under €200 because you still get plenty of updates. At first my mind was set on the Redmi Note 12 pro 5G but after a week of testing it was a no brainer to go with the A34.
PS.
It is very green of Samsung to not ship a charger but very very anti green to restrict chargers you allready own to use the fast charge mode. This means an extra shipment and of course an extra payment for the original 25W charger of them.

Upgraded from a Samsung A40 to the A34 about a year ago.
Bigger and heavier. It was billed as Lilac but it is in fact blue and boring, miss the coral of the old A40.
The 3.5mm jack is gone, had to buy an adapter for my wired headphones, no charger supplied.
It works but I don't love it, won't buy another Samsung because it insisted on installing some junk games and apps on initial bootup much to my disgust with NO opt out available.

just a smile, 21 Jun 2023then put on a case.If Even little grains get into your case, the back will get scratched up as well, better to get a case with small gaps for the camera

Btw, shippy apps likes Instagram and tiktok that Always runs in background Need to be restricted, otherwise It might kill battery while screen off in no time.

Almost 90% of Indians use android, and they understand from a customer perspective that sam is not that good when compared to other Android phones; and also let's not forget that not every android manufacturer have their phones released in USA like xiaomi, honor, vivo, OnePlus (only some OnePlus phones are made in USA).

From my previous Samsung owned device, and to my understanding, Samsung phones battery life is horrible; I have noticed that the battery drains 1% every 3-5 min and the standby battery drain isn't also good either. Is this true with this specific phone? I know the website states it's battery life info and it seems like it's decent but it's hard to believe when it comes to Samsung.

Why is the A34's face recognition so awful? I just switched from OnePlus 6 and it hardly ever missed an unlock. How is a 5 year old phone so much better at face recognition?

I bought it on September 9 for only 202 USD, the device is very good, just upgraded to One UI 6 and will upgrade to Android 17 in the future. I only see a few minor drawbacks.
1. I like the 6.4" screen more than the 6.6" screen, can't use both sim and memory card
2.I prefer the fingerprint on the edge of the screen rather than on the screen
The advantages are many
1. 1080 chip is enough for me, 8g ram is good for multitasking
2. Nice camera, good video recording.
3.ip 67 I don't have to worry about going in the rain

I've been using the Samsung A34 for about 6 months and have had no problems recommending it. It's a great value for money phone that combines all of the important features. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn't support HDR.
getting more than 8 hours of battery life. I have an 8 GB RAM variant, which is more than plenty. Updates are a little slow these days, but they are stable.
