I can see what this Reno 8 is trying to be and I hope that it actually is that. I think Oppo is trying to make their naming more simple, so there isn't gonna be a lite or a Z model for the Reno 8 series and that's why this doesn't have an ultrawide camera. Altough this doesn't change the fact that it is extremely overpriced and shouldn't be more than 200 eur with camera setup like this, but oh well.

And that's the definitive trend with Oppo Smartphones these days. Fast performance, fast charging, fast screen, but crap camera.

None of the Reno 8 series phones have OIS or telephoto.

Reno 3 is trash Reno series forever, Reno 6 is facelift Reno 5, and Reno 7 is downgrade. Maybe we can waiting for Reno 8 4g. But in 5g series, Reno 5 is better, Reno 6 is good and Reno 7 is stupid. I'm not Oppo fans, but I know Oppo have better specs or stupid specs

Most phones are just crap nowadays, we went from aluminium frames and glassbacks to all plastic and no ultrawide camera here.

Timeline of Oppo Reno:
Reno: Ok
Reno2: Good
Reno3: Removed OIS and premium build, but fine
Reno4: Ok
Reno5: The overpriced trend starting
Reno6: Overpriced trend continues, removed headphone jack and MicroSD (correct me if I'm wrong)
Reno7: Both MicroSD and headphone jack added back, but still overpriced
Reno8: Super overpriced, no ultrawide camera
This is just the future that I created myself:
Reno9: No macro lens
Reno10: No depth lens, only single 50MP JN1 camera
And Reno series discontinues...
Do not buy Reno series. They are just overpriced garbage.
