This new cult of fast charging is ridiculous and kills batteries no matter how safe they claim it to be. There’s a reason why until recently apple was shipping iPhones with 5W chargers and it’s not because they are cheaper although that is also true. But anyways after taking care of my battery with all the best practices 99% of the time my battery health is at 99% after 3 years.

Apple did cheapen out on the battery cells to maintain their margins and compensate the increased cost of switching back to Qualcomm 5G modem. Any tech literate would’ve read this news, unlike mere fanboys.
I didn’t say other Android OEMs are not using sub par components. In fact, I heavily criticized the Oppo foldables for using 3rd rate panels from BoE while charging premium prices.

I've had phones from both if them that died within 3 years lmao!
The degradation at the beginning of the 3rd year was so bad that the phone goes into a boot loop whenever some intensive task that increases cpu frequency is done!! Now they have regarded even further at 3.5 years that even when plugged into the charger they mammoth turn on. They boot loop until the battery goes flat!!
And all of this despite religiously maintaining battery charging between 20% and 85% with the help of apps like AccuBattery, for about 95% of the charge cycles of the phone lol!!
I still have both of those and they are borderline useless at 3.5 years of age!!
Meanwhile my iPhone 6 continued to work from 2014 till 2022, until I stopped charging it and the battery went flat forever.
I'm 99% sure that ppl like you are just trolls paid by android device makers just to trash on anything Apple on tech sites.
I've been on gsmarena since 2005/2006 days and th2 comment sections were genuinely useful back in the day. No broke fan boys with inferiority complexes airing there cope were there...

So I shall go on waiting until all batteries are user replaceable, as they all used to be! And until again the ultrawide camera can do panoramas, and until the headphone jack is back, because that IS how things were years ago, though not all at the same time, or in all phones on the market. However, I fear Apple's gizmo for releasing the battery from its SS cradle is another move to stop us, maybe, from taking out our batteries from our phones ourselves?
I mean they just keep moving the goalposts to ensure we remain hooked, by teasing that this year, next year, sometime, or never they will produce what they could have already marketed at least a decade ago, with preferably the option that iphones can use the Mac OS instead of the crippling iOS phones & tablets are still stuck with a decade after microsoft were selling smartphones that ran on windows 8, and then Windows 10, with the ability, last seen on an HP phone to output phone content, including office programmes etc to your monitor. I mean, if you do splurge for an iPhone pro Max with a terabyte of storage, you should be able to use it as your Mac OS computer hardrive too wherever you travel in the world. The advantages are massive, necessary even with so many of us now through Covid related afflictions unable to tote a laptop in our shoulder bags.

Just get rid of magsafe and save your money Apple. Most people use case anyway and who prefer using magsafe will use case with build in magsafe. This way you can reduce weight and increase even more battery.

The problem with Apple is them using cheap battery cells that don't even have the claimed longevity of cycles. Thus is why some iPhone are having reduced battery health quicker than what the user was expecting.
