All Samsung Galaxy S25 series models to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC

Samsung has went with an all-Snapdragon Galaxy S lineup only once until now.


Don't worry Samsung. Google will use your crap exynos (Tensor) chip.

    The real reason for this is that SD 8 gen4 will be a monstrous powerful chip with only big cores, Samsung just failed to reach the target performance of their exynos in order to be comparable to the Snapdragon. The don't want the same 990 vs 865 story. I think - S23 series was the same story - that's the reason they used SD 8 gen 2 instead of their unreleased exynos. Exynos in S24 and S24+ is somehow close to 8 gen 3, because of that, they use it.

      Wow nice, can't wait till Snap 8 Gen 10 to have my apps open 50miliseconds faster and AI knowing what i want to see in a photo!

        the good : the standard s25 will have SD
        the bad: exynos promise not kept, like every year... no competition for TSMC, not good at all.

            looks like, Samsung went from S22 Series to S23 Series with all-Snapdragon powered. then, went to S24 with "undo-to-S22" Exynos, and once again S25 with "redo-to-S23" Snapdragon powered.

            Imagine S26 Series for Exynos and back again S27 Series for Snapdragon

            but the truth is, Snapdragon for S2x is quite successful than Exynos for S2x

              I want my revolutionary Exynos!
              Exynos 2400 is a good chip!
              No To Snapdragon!

                          Cool. Unfortunately, they couldn't have timed it worse, since the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 reportedly has higher power consumption *AND* worse power efficiency than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

                            Dimensity 9400 with their own isp would be better. It isn't like they are using snapdragon chipsets to their full capabilities, see ZSL specs and bluetooth codecs
