I think I'll wait for the upcoming Unpacked and then decide on the FE or Buds3 series. The FE should also get cheaper when the new buds are announced 👌

And the update proved me wrong, I'm happy to be able to control them remorly like I do on my phone because they're very good, especially considering the price (79 now)
Just sad about the lack of qi charging; since Buds and Buds+ had it... But the sound in the Buds was okay, not so good and Buds+ were better a bit in sound & mainly in battely life.
Buds FE are a good successor of Buds+ from 2019; mine worked still fine but the audio signature wasn't to my liking after WF-1000XM3 and Buds Pro / Buds2 Pro, hence Buds FE to replace them with the eartip that are nice and allow a snug fit for a long time 😁
Sound wise; they are on par most of the times with Buds2 Pro, specially ANC since the passive isolation is better 😅

GregLu, 08 Jun 2024No worries, I think this was a defect of some kind :) Ju... moreOh well, I'm happy to have shared the link, today I've noticed that the supported list added Galaxy Buds FE along with Buds2 since it was only originally Live and Pro/ Buds2 Pro, that's great 🌱

Solun1, 07 Jun 2024Buds2 Pro sound alright only if they're perfectly snug... moreThe call is not horrible but the microphone could clearly get an upgrade, I wonder if it's not because of the relatively small size.
I have Buds FE and the calls quality is far better than Buds2 Pro, the snug fit too with eartip, makes them better for sport.
I enjoy Buds2Pro more and more now that Sony has crippled my WF-1000XM4 after a software update; lots of people on internet/reddit had the same issues, since it's out of warranty, I could wipe my ass with it, it's basically what the Sony rep said. He was kinda sorry when he saw how in good condition it was ...
Great for me to have purchased it at launch since I'm an (ancien) fan of Sony. had many Xperia and loved the battery life on XM4 and ANC. Didn't switch from XM5 due to glossy finish and didn't really wanted, I liked the bulkier look of the XM4.
3 years old device that worked perfeclty; in pristine condition (9.5/10, battery life still more than 5 hours with ANC on and DSEE), after the update, the right battery in the earbud is kinda broken. It cannot be charged more than 84-85% and then drop a percent per minute of usage, when the left is still above 90%, the right is beyond 50...
Then it drops to 40 and during this time, the connection stop.
I need to put them back in the case for charging a bit and I can have them with 70-80% again and so on ...
Great work Sony, you definitively disgusted me from purchasing again a Sony bluetooth/headphone from you; I might even reconsider buying a Xperia since I was interested in Xperia 1 VI but the downgrade in screen killed it for me.
I really want this damn MicroSD slot and yet I'm still with my S23U since Sony cannot produce something great here.
They have any ressource they want though.
            That's sad.

Sorry, that was my rant on Sony 😋

I don't like the sound stage on the Buds 2 Pro, they are really tinny sounding.

never buy an earbuds with multipoint support. it is definitely the most important must have feature of such devices. once you use it, you will never go back. don't buy samsung or apple buds.

Which app did you have to download to make it work?

Buds2 Pro sound alright only if they're perfectly snug in your ear, which is like 1% of the time. The second I push them in, they'll change the position. So I'll actually buy LG Tone Free T80 if they'll ever become available. Oh yeah and call quality is absolutely horrible with Buds2 Pro.

got burnt on the last few versions of these, offering high res sound...NOT !! just average sound and having to install two apps to use them...not going to do it again. Save your money if you have previous versions....wait 2 -3 more years then buy.

After a 2 year gap, one would think Samsung would have found a way to improve the battery life on the Vanilla and Pro Buds by at least two hours.

I can watch a video/listen to music on the PC, then if a call occurs, it'll switch automatically.
Same goes if I launch music on the phone, it'll propose me to connect them ✌

Buds3 Pro must come with Multipoint (Samsung TV, Windows PC etc.) and SmartTag built in, preferably with a audio beacon in case.

No good in 2024 if neither is missed.

I have the Buds2 Pro and a pair of Jabra Elite 8's. I much prefer the elite 8's. I hate the buttons on the Buds2, every time I go to secure the buds2 in my ears I accidentally either turn off music, or change from ANC to Ambient sound. The Jabra's have a real button which works much better for me. Also they are covered in a rubberized grippy material. The ANC on the Buds2 Pro is a little better.

No multipoint - no buy. I would be shocked if they miss it in 2024 models

I hope it comes with new stem design like rumoured.

What held me back from buying Galaxy Buds is the lack of multi-point bluetooth (auto switching only works between galaxy devices but not with windows laptops) and wing tips to keep them securely locked into my ears.
