      Don't forget to install Firefox only privacy browser left when manifest v2 not supported anymore in chrome, in Europe you can uninstall chrome browser? Google and android is actually worse with updates, love the acts in Europe

        And no Thanks to updates on Google Hang Outs (who the hell uses that anyway) - Its causing Samsung Messages to crash when opening up conversations.

The messages go through the Google server, but Google can't read the messages if end-to-end encryption is used. AFAIK, end-to-end encryption is enabled by default. When iMessage communicates with an Android phone, it uses insecure SMS.

Also, the service provider can track and read all your messages. RCS supports end-to-end encryption, which means only you and the recipients of your messages can read your messages.

                  they added annoying line and unread thing which is total useless and horrible line .. google REMOVE IT ! We know which message is unread !

                    What's the difference between SMS and RCS? The messages just go through Google rather than through your mobile carrier? How is that advantageous?

                    Doesn't using RCS also restrict us to using Google Messages rather than say, Textra?

                      Anonymous, 31 May 2024I won't accept voluntarily to use RCS.We have similar mindsets lol. I love new stuff, but I also hate newfangled stuff.

                      Tho admittedly, the degree of what makes something new or newfangled is subjective for the most part. I think SMS is good enough. The only reason why I'd support RCS is the increase in equality between iOS and Android users (at least that's what I recall hearing).

                      Also, I bet the shift to RCS would be a big disappointment to hackers. Yes, I empathize with hackers, lol. I mean, what if I was a hacker who was paid to hack into somebody's texts. Well, now it'll be impossible.

                              I am an avid user of RCS, the natural successor to SMS (MMS) which will be used for a long time to come for various things (security checks). In addition, RCS is coming to iOS18 this fall. I find it sufficient to have SMS (RCS) and Messenger (because of Facebook). Obviously in Europe a lot of friends are on WhatsApp. Normally this year in Europe certain messaging services for example WhatsApp and Messenger are required to be compatible (at least basic) but this does not work yet
