First evidence that the Tensor G5 will be fabbed by TSMC uncovered

The Tensor G4, coming later this year, might be the last Tensor to be designed and made by Samsung.

    But still how toasty and Maggy and drainy battery will be that tensor ? I think google is able to completely f''kup even the best manufcacturing process nowadays.

      Google should retire the Pixel line.....

      The only reason it's still in play:

      The revenue generated from the end users data results in a profit.

      No data, no profit, no Pixel.

          P8 Pro 256GB was already almost 1200 Euros. So add on inflation by the time when Pixel 10 comes out, it is going to be at least that price.

            It will likely still have mediocre battery life due to Google's software constantly polling you sending location data/analytics. TSMC's fab won't be able to fix that. I otherwise love the look that The Pixel phones are heading in.

                Hopefully they keep the Pro (non-xl) version that's going to come out now with the Pixel 9, and I'll buy the 10 100%.
                Would be perfect for me and I can put GrapheneOS on it later.

                            Don’t buy pixel phones,it has multiple issues like network,voice distruption,over heating,weak battery,instead one plus and Samsung are much better and pixel camera is not as good as its being advertised,paid analysts are active to praise day and night.

                              What about the performance then?

                                G5 is the reverse for 5G 😂

                                  Now you see why exynos was used for years.
                                  That would be $120 more, licensing is not even included, that is just price of chipset.

                                      I do wonder why the tech media never seems to ask what modem they will pair with their own chip? I have to assume its because their only option is Samsung. By then it would be a 5500 and any differences no matter how vast may be minimal to users who are not doing speed tests all day as Samsung modems get better & more efficient.

                                        This should've been Tensor G1, with Google sticking with Snapdragon until the TSMC chip was ready. No point in going in-house if it's to plague users with sub-par performance and awful battery life for 4 releases straight.
