Anonymous , 01 Jan 2024Guy from India believe in DXO ranking lolIndia is probably the biggest smartphone market with the widest range of international models launched (that is, China is the biggest but most models in China are China specific software and sometimes hardware). So it is natural for someone from India to have better experience. Indians are not only price conscious, they are particular about tid-bit specifications as well which makes or breaks popularity internationally.

Also, I'm backing up my own findings (enough first-hand experience) with something of a public authority that is DXOmark. I'd be happy to be proven wrong if you have a better resource to counter it.

But, I find it funny you looked me up 🤣. Good job!

ShubhamDeshmukh, 01 Jan 2024HP2 is 200 MP. Just like other 100 MP before this one will ... moreGuy from India believe in DXO ranking lol

Anonymous, 29 Dec 2023GN2 is larger , but other are more advanced tech. 1 year ... moreHP2 is 200 MP. Just like other 100 MP before this one will ruin the low-light photography. There is a reason Google Pixels (so called camera pros) and iPhone Pros use the 48 / 50

            iPhone 15 PRO: 48 MP, f/1.8, 24mm (wide), 1/1.28", 1.22µm, dual pixel PDAF, sensor-shift OIS
            Pixel 8 PRO: 50 MP, f/1.7, 25mm (wide), 1/1.31", 1.2µm, dual pixel PDAF, multi-zone Laser AF, OIS

            compare the sizes to:
            Galaxy S23+ : 50 MP, f/1.8, 24mm (wide), 1/1.56", 1.0µm, Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS
            Galaxy S23 Ultra : 200 MP, f/1.7, 24mm (wide), 1/1.3", 0.6µm, multi-directional PDAF, Laser AF, OIS

Those tiny Samsungs 1.0µm, 0.6µm, compared to 1.22µm, 1.2µm, in iPhone & Pixel make all the difference. No wonder DXOmark rankings:

            iPhone 15 Pro / Max: Rank 3
            Pixel 8 Pro: Rank 5
            Pixel 8 : Rank 10
            Pixel 7 Pro : Rank 11
            iPhone 14 Pro / Max: Rank 14
            Pixel 7 : Rank 21
            Galaxy S23 Ultra : Rank 21
            Galaxy S22 Ultra : Rank 30
            Galaxy S23+ : Rank 35
            Galaxy S22+ : Rank 62

justasmile, 31 Dec 2023Huh. GSMarena still lists it as Li-Po somehow.Yeah, they somehow listed it as Li-Po but I don't think they actually go through the trouble to find out what type of battery it is since they are using pre-configured templates and publishing some specs before release.

IQ200, 30 Dec 2023I bought a Galaxy device once and it flopped me big time. ... moreI work in a store where I see Samsung phones every day that I'm clocked in, it has only gotten worse and the people buying them know that, they just don't seem to know about other options, or they don't trust said other options. The A series is nothing but generic china made phones, the cheapest ones at that, they come in a low quality box with nothing, but the phone in it. People buy them because they are cheap, but they are shocked that it comes with nothing, and they are even more shocked at the price of a compatible charger. The S series on the other hand could be great, but they don't seem to take any of their competition seriously, other than Apple, so they hardly ever upgrade anything, which just makes them boring, basically the same charging speed as the A series doesn't help either. I don't see this as fair, they are basically robbing and scamming people in my opinion of course I don't like them. To answer your question from your other comment, yes a phone enthusiast can absolutely be a hater as well, when there is nothing that a certain brand puts out that makes them enthusiastic about them.

Either way, I never said, mentioned, or even tried to imply that only my opinion matters. I appreciate and totally understand yours, but yeah it's hard to explain why I don't believe in fast charging degrading any phone battery, altough I still have my example phone the iQOO 5 Pro which I've used for a longer time and that has no issues. Currently my most used phone, out of my 2021/2022 and newer ones, is the Infinix Zero Ultra (180W), which is my fastest charging phone, yet it's the one with by far the best battery life. Compared to my Tecno Camon 18 Premier, which I've got a couple months before the Ultra, and is from the same company, that previously had better battery life, but not anymore and I've got nothing else to blame but it's slower 33W charging.

"Well, have a great New Year and enjoy your hobby. Take care!"

                      Thanks, you too man!

justasmile, 31 Dec 2023Really? The specs say Li-Po.There are plenty of videos, photos and other materials online showing that it's a lithium-ion battery.

You can also ask Samsung directly.

Now I hate Samsung brand as a whole and liking every comment which says "no Samsung phone for me this year" or "Samsung sucks".

I have become a phone phanatic and since then I bought more then 30 devices, because that's my passion.

When someone tries to tell me how do I know what's the battery degradation on my phones I just tell them.. look man... I have 30+ phones in my house.. I am an experienced guy.. and even I don't know for sure as I can't possibly use more then 2 daily drivers at the same time, my opinion is the only which matters, because of the shire ammount of devices I have, right? Right..
