Apple Watch Series 9 review

I switched to Apple Watch 9 for two months and I regret it.

Thanks I almost bought one yesterday but they didn’t have the right band. I wanted to upgrade to cellular. I will pass on that now.

    Apple watch is better than any other watch out there. never had an issues with battery life at all, never died on me and i do a 1 hour work out a day, with 4G option,

    clearly a biased review.

        The short reply is that it must be worth it for whatever reasons for those that buy the product.

        But that is obviously not the same as it being objectively valuable for everyone, as food and water.

          But aren't all "smart" watches just pointless gadgets ?

            Very happy with my Fitbit versa 4. I don't need aod and I forget to charge it. 5+ days

But sure there were fanatics that still praised them too...

                      Or some Apple enemy...cause Apple watches are the best ones of all...I had Samsung, Huawei, Amazfit...none is comparable.

                        The problem is deep!! The fancy OS watches try to make a smartwatch be like a small smartphone, with a truckloads of fancy capabilities, including running a number of apps. This may sound great at first BUT this requires a fancy chipset, and that again either gives a poor stamina, and/or require a huge battery, and that is the reason why it is rare to see a smartwatch less 8mm thick - and those few are with a primitive OS only. That can last over a month on a tiny battery. With monitoring active.

                        Practically all of us carry a fancy smart-phone anyway, so they really should use the smart watch as just a watch with sensors, and apart from that having "terminal"-capability, letting the smart-phone do any fancy stuff needed, and thus offloading any fancy tasks from the watch.
                        Think of it similar to a chromebook

                            Apple Watches despite their look(many prefer the Circle design of original watches),are indeed capable devices, with very good overall sensors.

                            Unfortunately though, their awful battery life, Ios exclusivity and high cost make them a no go, even for many Apple users.

                            I remember back in the day i tried my first apple watch, how annoying it was to see the battery tank even when you arent using it.
                            Not to mention how uncomfortable it was, to avoid random touches to not damage the expensive to repair screen.

                              This was a very personal opinionated review, where's the counterpoint? Or is this just to please the Apple haters here?

                                Thick as a brick, 'designed' as a pill box on a string, and barely last a day.
                                Only hardcore Isheeps should shell out for this...

                                Just for comparison:
                                The utterly simple $30 Sovogue T8. 7mm thin, round, five WEEKS of stamina with Sleep+Step+HR+Spo2+BP monitoring on. All metal case, looks like a proper watch...

                                And NO the T8 and its inferior software is not fantastic in any way, it just shows how much the fancy-OS watches including aPple's STINKS...

                                And though its sounds wild there are NONE of the available smart watches I would swap this cheap T8 for - if I got one of the others as a gift it would be sold or re-gifted immediately...

                                I would wish some major brands looked at the T8 and released something like that with better software, and maybe in more exclusive materials. A sapphire crystal would be nice for a start, and less than 5mm bezels.

                                    I get a day and a half battery life and charge it at work. There is nothing close to this watch out there. Tried Samsung , fitbit , Xiaomi and they are toys compared to this.
