At least the developers can flaunt "console level graphics" for this port, never mind your latest phone being weaker... After all iPhone was never meant to be a gaming phone.
Plus, this will motivate Apple to bring in gaming devices.
Also, the developers must be congratulated for being future-proof, by a big margin too.
Ahh well... I'm not even sure what's serious and what's satire in my comment.

This game requires a good GPU whc«ich apple's Bionic is not. They're CPU wise excellent.
Port this to Android and you'll see a steady 30FPS

Am I somehow the only one who couldn't care less that I can have some raytracing in some games on my phone? Especially if performance isn't smooth?
The game wasn't even meant for mobile anyway, who cares if textures look a bit better - right before the game crashes because it isn't optimized in any way for the device it's retrofitted to run on.

A17/M3 doesn't have endurance, gaming demands consistency for longer durations.

Graphics in the gameplay video look pretty bad. It's a combination of the low quality 2d textures they use for foliage and stuff and the low 3D resolution. I know the graphics aren't remotely as poor, but watching that reminded me of watching GoldenEye gameplay for a Nintendo DS.
And how's the framerate so terrible? So much for this so-called "optimization" everyone talks about with Apple.

My Tab S8 was heating where you can't control the screen above the CPU without it not taking you're input. Same with s9. The iPad with the same games has no issue less heat and even higher frame rates.

But for gaming I have both the S9 , before was the S8 tab and the iPad M1 and before the iPad pro with I believe Z13 . Even the old I pad is better than the tab s9 in gaming I barely touch the Samsung tablet. I only buy it because Samsung made me trade in the old one and get the new one for $200.

Just get a Steam Deck/ Asus Rog/ Aya Neo/ Gpd/ etc. with AMD Ryzen Mobile SoC RDNA2 iGPU. It can also emulate multi platform games from old days to newer ones. Can even Multi-boot Linux, Windows, Android any flavor you like. Etc. At quarter the cost of icrap.

I think heat proof update puts the performance under question mark, as it was advertised to be ray tracing enabled version of RE village and naturally 60fps in rendering which suffered from the unwanted heat and subsequently a throttle patch which only shows better performance by claims and some benchmark screenshots.

What did you expect.
Since vry ong time Apple is great only on benchmarks in other words paper score.
Real life tests always proven even an SD695 preforms way better than Apple chips.
For a good on paper you cant expect good on real life tests.
