Nah. I’m all Gucci with my OG, maxed-out iPhone 14 Pro Max, lol.

The iPhone 15 Pro series are the TOP of Apple iPhones technology and the ultimate NEW Pro Camera built-in. BUT! I think I'll keep the iPhone 14 Pro Max winner this year, till next year release, iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Just to have "this time" the perfect version of the iPhone 15 Pro and let Apple master this all new material (TITANIUM) and softwares on it to the perfection.

Something a bit controlled not just random dudes dropping phones randomly.

While there are some changes here, the biggest change here is in the drop test durability.

The glass braking has nothing to do with the Titanium since its better, in any measurable way, than stainless steel.

A slap on the face, the retirement of lightning port means it is considered an obsolete product, it is future doomed. Yet to spend so much more for a USB C port device makes no sense too, just get a budget Android.

The reason for easy glass breakage is its titanium frame. Titanium is less shock resistant than stainless steel. When your phone drop on titanium frame (i.e on the sides and corners) the titanium frame transfer the shock to sides (which is back glass) resulting in glass break.

Except for type c and minor camera upgrades there is no reason for 14 pro max or for that matter 13 pro max users to upgrade.

For me thinner bezels is a negative from usability point of view as typing becomes more difficult with overlapping fingers.

Glass breaks randomly. There's no way of predicting or controlling the breakage.

Battery life is software dependent and early versions of new software are problematic, for example 14PM has worse battery life on iOS 17.

Weight reduction and video capture updates are worth the upgrade if you know how to use them.

so in fact and to be true, there is no use uprading your phone to Line 15 if you own one from Line 14 or even Line 13... Line 15 is the one with the least upgrade (if you consider USB C as an upgrade)

Aside from very minimal improvements to a point that you may be considered stagnant. The iPhone 15 Pro Max manages to decrease overall battery runtime and have much more brittle rear glass (check jerryrigeverything). The only redeeming factor would be the USB C implementation which is more of a win by the EU and not by Apple.

It is important that reviewers test which details in a photo are true and which details are fake due to machine learning. When I compared the periscope camera of the 15 Pro Max at 360mm (roughly 15x) with my Pixel 7 Pro in a store with Night Sight turned on (Night Sight improves the image quality of 15x photos even in good light conditions), it happened once that the 15 Pro Max image was noticeably sharper, but all details (distant text) were fake. The letters were wrong, the words were wrong, whereas the 7 Pro showed the correct words. So the Pixel 7 Pro had a much higher "true sharpness" at 360mm. Overall, at 360mm + Night Sight, the 7 Pro was in a completely different league than the 15 Pro Max. Though one should avoid 20x-30x zoom settings on the 7 Pro, a 2x crop from a 15x photo often looks significantly better than a 30x photo due to machine learning nonsense at 30x.
I also compared my Pixel 7 Pro with a Pixel 8 Pro in a store at 360mm + Night Sight and the results were nearly identical when you pixel peep (note that the latest camera app version wasn't installed on the 8 Pro). Though, the image stabilization of the 8 Pro periscope was maybe worse (which led to a shorter automatic exposure time, which leads to more noise), but I know that there are also other Pixel 7 Pros that have a worse image stabilization or worse sharpness than my Pixel 7 Pro..

Iphone 14 pro max have better 5x results than 15 pro max.....os is it me...

                                  OVERSHARPENING:

In camera assistant put image softening to "medium".

It is a really crappy translation error, but it does no actual softening. Instead it cuts back on sharpening and other processing, giving you a more natural image. But no one dares to use this setting due to how samsung doesn't understand how english language works, and what "image softening" implies.

So the iPhone 14 Pro Max camera matches the iPhone 14 Pro Max camera? And wow, that Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra really looks like an iPhone - it even has the Apple logo.
                                    🙄

At the time I write this, there is a small error in the article, in the "Charging Speed" part, it says "Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra" when it should be "iPhone 14 Pro Max".
