YouTube app for Android will get more filter options in search results

Even though you can't argue that YouTube's Android app is bad or lacking essential functionality, there oddly still are quite a few glaring omissions in it when compared to the service's website. Not huge things, mind you, rather small features here and there that have the potential of improving the experience for users.

    Dammit google why haven't you work on a filter that's coming from channels like watchmojo that I haven't subscribe and will appear at any instant from my phone to pc!

Get a Windows phone and YT will work in the background, under lock screen, wherever you want. Same with listening to music in the browser. (plus other goodies that are not available on other platforms)

        2nd if youtube red is not available for you then just download OGYoutube App? has all these features + includes 1-click-video download, you can choose download as video or mp3. I can't believe that you are using android phone and not knowing these workarounds...

                            I can argue that YT app on Android is missing pre-caching of videos and playlists for offline listening. Working in background or with screen off are also sadly missing. YT app is anything but feature rich. It is actually one of the poorest first-party apps available for any platform. It was a sad day when Google bought YouTube.

                                All I want is the ability to not let viewed history affect recommended videos without me having to delete my history. Apparently such a simple feature is too much to ask for. People have more than one sort of interest and youtube just bundles them all together without giving you a choice.
