Went from a decent Moto Edge 30 Fusion to a this abomination which is weak in every aspect.

This model is basically priced against Galaxy A55.
In Germany:
8/256 GB ~330-350 €
12/512 GB 400 €
And Edge 30 Fusion (8/128 GB) is discounted to 300 €.
In my country (Serbia), you can just buy 12/512 GB version (import from Hungary) for ~375 €. Galaxy A55 8/256 GB (also import from Hungary) is 350 €. Really close call.

Glass brok with a simple 2 ft drop, it's not gorilla glass. The free case provided in box provides no side protection at all.

Are Sony LYTIA 700c and Sony IMX 890/896 same sensors? Asking because in Device Info HW app, the sensor in Edge 50 fusion is mentioned as IMX896, not LYTIA 700c!

Your privileged self and I myself may have moved on from using 3.5mm jack headphones to USB-C ones or even wireless ones. But a majority of the planet still wants the 3.5mm jack. You and I are in the minority here. Also, Euro 15 is a lot in much of the world (30 to 40 days worth of groceries for four people where I live) where people would rather buy a 3 to 5 Euro 3.5mm jack pair of earphones.

This is literally one of the most powerful SOCs in this price class. The only issue with it is unusual thermals due to coming from Samsung's foundries.
