X9a plastic build, no gorilla glass + curved display = breaks easily and camera on my Honor 8x looks better. Larger battery, fast charge and a more powerful cpu aren't enough. Honor 8x and Honor view 20 were ideal and complete phones of that time. Most of midrange phones lack in an aspect or two like the plastic build which makes me sick buying a new phone nowadays. The only Phone I think is worth it to be called Honor 8X successor is Nothing Phone 2. Same build, TWO CAMERAS with ZERO non-sense design.

hello, I'm glad you like my reviews, I bought the Honor 8x on a quick offer from my operator and without any prior information about the phone, I accepted the offer with the risk that the phone won't be what I hoped for, now after after more than 4 years I honestly can't to find something better for that price, the offers are poor both in terms of performance and build quality (I hate plastic),Honor 90 pro is my next choice, but in my country it is not yet available, according to the specifications, it is an excellent choice and an excellent price for around 440 euros.

                        If I understand correctly, you want to set the application to start manually;
go to settings-applications-''application launch''- here you can set each application automatically or (manually in three categories) – autostart, -secondary startup- and background startup – to enable or disable .
back and in ''permission apps'', here you can choose separately for each app which sensor to use or to deny the use of a specific sensor (camera, microphone, storage, etc...)
''AppAssistant'' is where you select a specific gaming app so when you use that app the phone goes into gaming mode, hope I helped.

                            > It has a really good photo camera. I love it. Video? Eh. I say that gets the job done.
                            > Metal frame! sth you miss nowadays on mid-range phones.

                            > Still excellent for daily use, but some lags can be seen.
                            > Battery discharges a bit fast while light gaming. It lasts for me a full day and a half. So I said it is good.
                            > Old for gaming! Yes! Surely, why not?
                            > UI lags sometime which I think it should not. It is still a capable phone. After clearing cache partition it got better.
Overall this phone is a good phone. Usable. It is from Honor's and Huawei's shining time. I think after that period, mid-range phones' quality dropped (plastic build, lower grade gorilla glasses).

Still using my Honor 8X on a daily basis,
Battery is discharging fast with heavy app. Such as navigations or Revanced apps
                              Holding well with normal use.
Less than a day for sure

                              Small stutters here and there.
Remarkable phone, the longest ive own a phone without problems.

Im changing it now in 2023 because i have issues with some bluetooth accessories not connecting properly, in my case HR belts. And i have earphones range issues with stutters through concrete walls. And the micro usb port is getting old.

Otherwise great great value for its time thats for sure.

I've been using this Honor 8X for over 4 years, the longest time I have used 1 single cellphone! And I have no complaint until now.

hello, I would just like to give my opinion on the honor 8x which is rarely a good phone and so to speak without flaws, I own 2 pieces with 4gb ram and 64gb rom and a 400gb upgrade slot, I would call this phone a ''battle tank'',it is made of high-quality materials, double-sided glass wrapped with an aluminum frame and rear 9-layer reflective glass that you only find in premium phones, there is no cheap plastic and besides which is not waterproof according to the specifications, mine fell into the mud in the rain and stayed there for about 2 hours and could barely find it by ringing the other phone and seeing the waves from the ringing in the whirlpool, the phone still works flawlessly today, it has fallen out of my hand many times but there is no damage, the good thing is that none of the applications installed on the phone have ads, the phone does not falter after 4 years, does not slow down, works like new and the battery is excellent and I can't notice that it is old, the camera is 20mpx which are real and not like say 64mpx, which are actually cropped pixels and the camera sensor is truly 16mpx X 4 = 64mpx, (I point out that all phone cameras from 48mpx-64mpx 108mpx are fake-cropped - the pixel is divided by 4, this would be equivalent to digital zoom which spoils the image quality, I suggest 50mpx because it's a real number, there's no lying) I don't see a better phone for that money, I would buy it without thinking, but of course the decision is yours, if you need more information just go ahead.

this comment is only for the person who asked for an opinion, please those others with bad comments on restraint, thank you.

Anonymous, 13 May 2023Hi, I came across this phone in the market at $110 dollars,... moreOne more thing at your given price range, if you are getting 50 megapixel camera or 64 megapixel camera with 6gb ram and 128 gb storage then buy the one with highest megapixel camera at your given price range.

Do not buy Samsung a13 because it does not support screen recording and it does not support wireless projection

Anonymous, 13 May 2023Hi, I came across this phone in the market at $110 dollars,... moreIf it is 6gb ram and 128 gb storage and also loaded with Google apps. Then buy it but it should be first hand not second hand. But only at the price range which you have written. Also compare other smartphones at this price range too. Like camera, ram, storage, processor etc

One more thing huawei apps which comes in this phone are full of bugs and crashes often. You can Google it about it.

If you get better phone than this at your price range then buy the better one but search about the phone properly which you are going to buy
