Google Pixel 9 (in Pink) handled on video

Live photos of the upcoming Google Pixel 9 have surfaced again, this time from a new source. For whatever reason, a unit – or perhaps just a dummy – of the new phone was available in Algeria for people to handle and film and film they did.

So, here is the Pixel 9 in pink... sorry, this will be called Peony (named after the flower). Apparently, this one has 256GB storage, which gives us hope that this is a real unit rather than just a dummy. From previous leaks, this should also have 12GB of RAM instead of 8GB, which has been the norm for the vanilla series for a while. The series will introduce a new chipset too, the Tensor G4. Poster Hani Mohamed Bioud promises to share more information soon.

Anyway, this is the vanilla model. You can tell by the “visor” bump that only houses two cameras. Google is preparing a small Pixel 9 Pro this year with three cameras (the third likely with a 5x periscope lens). The vanilla 9 should have a 6.24” display, while the Pro will be about the same size at 6.34”. Google is expected to rename the large Pixel to “Pro XL” (6.73”). The design of the vanilla model matches the renders we saw back in March.

The official unveiling of the Pixel 9 series is a month from now, August 13, which is earlier in the year than usual (flagship Pixels normally arrive in October).

UFS storage 3.0 only. I hope that Exynos 5400 modem rocks with mmwave and signal reception.

Pixel 9 Pro should have been Pixel 8 Pro with Tensor G4 and change in primary sensor. Rest is fantastic. Hike prices by 100 euroes.

Is the video that blurry or is there no SIM slot?
