The Tesla Model S Plaid is undoubtedly the most popular performance electric sedan, delivering face-melting acceleration that puts most supercars to shame. However, its seats were out of sync with the powertrain until now.
Tesla just introduced the new "track-focused" Sport Seats that will be standard equipment in the Model S Plaid. While the outgoing seats were undeniably comfortable, Plaid owners who like to test the limits of their 1,020-horsepower sedans found themselves wanting a little more support in those high-G corners.

If you know what high-G cornering means, these seats are for you
- Increased lateral support
- Modular seat architecture for comfort & support, plus same 12-way power adjust, heating & ventilation
- High performance suede for increased grip &… pic.twitter.com/Up7fCVo6SL
The new Sport Seats have generous bolsters on the seat base and backrest hug the driver and passenger, ensuring that they stay firmly in place when the Plaid's tri-motor powertrain does its best to rearrange their internal organs. The seats still offer including 12-way power adjustment, heating, and ventilation, but now they're wrapped in a grippy suede-like material to make sure you don't slide around.

The improved support will give drivers more confidence to explore Plaid's limits, making it an even more formidable track weapon.
