The new Opel Frontera EV has received its "world premiere", which gives us a few more details about it, along with possibly the most important one: price.

The EV will cost around $31,100 in Germany. It will have a range of "more than" 186 miles according to WLTP in its base version, with a "long rage" version going all the way up to 249 miles.

The car has two 10-inch screens inside, and a 15.9 ft³ trunk (with the seats folded that capacity goes up to 56.5 ft³). Initially it launches with five seats, but there will be a seven-seater version coming later - see below.

This will be the first Opel that you'll be able to order digitally via a "one-scroll experience", whatever that means. The product pages are "optimized to the size of any mobile device" like it's 2015, and "in the future" you'll be able to purchase one completely online. When that is, isn't being revealed.

The Frontera will have a 113 hp single motor, and will be offered in the UK as the Vauxhall Frontera as you might expect. It charges at a maximum of 100kW DC. No other details are known yet, despite this being a "world premiere". Expect to hear more about the new Frontera in the coming months.
