Jeep Wagoneer S official images are out, showing both the exterior and interior

Earlier this month, Jeep teased the upcoming Wagoneer S by telling us that it hits 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, further stressing the fact that the "S" in the name stands for "speed". Today, the company is doing some more teasing, this time around with a bunch of images showing the Wagoneer from a lot of angles, both inside and out.

Despite sharing the name, the Wagoneer S looks nothing like the original Wagoneer from 1963, which Jeep does give a shoutout to in the press release accompanying these images, nor does it look very much like the ICE Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer that Jeep sells right now.

Its silhouette is very clearly driven by aerodynamics, whereas the other Wagoneer models we mentioned don't seem to have that in mind all that much - which is understandable considering how important range is for an EV and how much enhanced aerodynamics can help with that.

The Wagoneer S is built on Stellantis' STLA Large platform, which was just unveiled this month. It has a "tech-focused" interior with "premium technology seamlessly integrated with meticulously crafted artisan details".

This might be the only vague thing it actually does have in common with the '63 Wagoneer, which also featured "a luxurious interior, upscale materials, and premium appointments". So it's keeping that idea, while of course adapting it for modern expectations of what an EV's interior should be.

The car has a "tailored driver control center" with a "unique Jeep brand-exclusive Selec-Terrain toggle" and dynamic ambient lighting. The Wagoneer S will have a dual-pane panoramic sunroof as standard, and a 19-speaker premium flagship McIntosh audio system.

Those are all the details Jeep released this time around, but surely more will follow in a few weeks when the next teaser will hit. Until then, let's also reiterate the other detail that was revealed in the previous teaser: the Wagoneer S will have 600 hp and dual motors. And if you want to see more of it, a bunch of clearer official images were leaked by Jeep itself last week.
