Despite many restrictions on its supply chain, Huawei has managed to establish its newly launched Pura 70 Ultra as the current ceiling for mobile imaging in the industry, according to the DxOMark ranking. The company has further enhanced the Huawei Pura 70 Series (including the Ultra) with a new software update.
Recently, Huawei pushed the HarmonyOS 4.2.0.162 version update for the Pura 70 series. The update package is about 704MB in size. This version continues to optimize the Pura 70 series’ camera performance and improves touchscreen smoothness.
The update log shows that version 4.2.0.162 optimizes the camera’s performance in various scenes, enhancing the photo experience for portraits, nature scenes, night scenes, sunsets, and macro shots. It also improves camera stability.
Additionally, the update increases screen sensitivity in some scenarios, provides smoother touchscreen operation, and optimizes the display effect of certain interfaces. Some users have praised Huawei engineers for this update, noting that the improved touch sensitivity has resolved issues with tempered glass screen protectors.
The Huawei Pura 70 series is equipped with the exclusive XMAGE algorithm and triple camera combination. The camera also features the first-ever Ultra Spotlight Retractable Camera with a 1-inch large sensor and a maximum f/1.6 physical aperture, delivering the industry’s largest amount of main camera light intake.
