OPPO Reno 12 is 1st Android to Support Live Photo Sharing and Retouching

In an ongoing warm-up activity, OPPO officially announced today that the OPPO Reno 12 series will support the Live photo-sharing feature, making it the first in the Android smartphone ecosystem to do so. This feature includes options for beautifying and retouching live photos.

Live Photo In Reno12 Series

According to the official information released so far, OPPO Reno 12 photos taken with the Live Photo feature will not only be viewable in the season but also uploadable to social network platforms. Previously, Android phones capable of taking Live Photos could not share them on social platforms.

However, based on current publicity, this feature was implemented by OPPO in collaboration with Xiaohongshu (a social network similar to Instagram). Therefore, it is unclear if the OPPO Reno 12’s Live Photos will be uploadable to other social platforms.

Additionally, the exterior of the series has already been announced. The OPPO Reno 12 standard model will be powered by the Dimensity 8250 Star Speed Edition chip, while the Pro version will feature the Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed Edition chip. The series is set to be released on May 23 at 16:00.
