Redmi K70 Ultra Launch Nears as 3C Certification Confirms Charging Capabilities

Known for its cost-performance ratio, the Redmi brand offers a sub-flagship class of smartphones under the Redmi K Series. Within this series, the Ultra version serves as the higher-end model, often released last in the iteration. The upcoming model, the Redmi K70 Ultra, also known as the Supreme Edition, is highly anticipated.

According to the China Quality Certification Centre (3C Certification), a new Redmi device with model number 2407FRK8EC has passed certification. This device supports 120W fast charging (compatible with MDY-14-ED and MDY-16-EB chargers), which aligns with the hints from Wang Teng about the Redmi K70 Ultra Edition.

Historically, the K series Ultra/Supreme Edition models feature MediaTek’s flagship chips, and the K70 Supreme Edition is expected to continue this trend with the Dimensity 9300+. This chip is set to significantly boost the performance of the K series. The K70 Ultra/Supreme Edition will offer up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 flash storage, marking it as one of the highest specifications currently available in the industry.

While the core specifications are becoming clear, the design of the device remains highly anticipated. The K70 series has received positive feedback for its design, particularly the K70E. If the K70 Supreme Edition combines a compelling design with the cost-effective MediaTek chip, it is expected to be very competitively priced.

The previous generation, the Redmi K60 Ultra, was released in August 2023. However, sources suggest that the K70 Ultra will launch earlier this year, aiming to position itself as a “Supreme Performance Comprehensive AI” smartphone. Following its debut in China, it will be marketed globally as the Xiaomi 14T Pro.
