Rahul Sharma’s Return to Success at Tata Elxsi "Intrigued by the opportunity to work on over-the-top (OTT) platforms, I began my journey at Tata Elxsi in April 2020. Joining as an iOS Lead, I transitioned into roles like Scrum Master and Platform Architect, where I expanded my technical expertise and learned valuable management skills. Navigating the remote work environment taught me the importance of collaboration and adaptability. I contributed to delivering impactful solutions within tight timelines, working on projects involving iOS and Apple TV OS platforms. In December 2022, I made the tough decision to leave Tata Elxsi to explore opportunities elsewhere. However, my experience fell short of expectations, prompting me to reevaluate my career path. Fortunately, I received a call from Tata Elxsi about an opening for an architect role. I saw it as a sign of returning to familiar territory. Recognizing the growth opportunities and Tata Elxsi’s supportive work culture, I rejoined in June 2023. Since my return, I've taken on challenging projects and increased responsibilities, with immense support from mentors like Vijay M Nadagoudar. He recommended courses to enhance my skills and encouraged me to tackle new challenges. His mentorship was crucial in helping me navigate projects and overcome obstacles. Naveen Sharma and Sachin Chopra also significantly contributed to my professional growth. As a colleague turned mentor, Naveen provided valuable insights and guidance, which were instrumental in refining my management and technical skills during my roles as Scrum Master and Architect. In 2024, I was promoted to Technical Project Manager, expanding my expertise across iOS, Apple TV, Android, and Android TV. Returning to Tata Elxsi has reaffirmed the company's appreciation of my abilities and potential, strengthening my belief in its values and motivating me to excel across domains and projects". This week, we delve into Kritika Sethi transformational journey at Tata Elxsi. "In September 2021, I joined Tata Elxsi amidst global uncertainties due to COVID-19 as a UX Designer. Despite the challenges, growing in the role of Senior Designer gave me opportunities to advance. Being new to Automotive Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Tata Elxsi's collaborative environment helped me transition smoothly and grow. The dedication and passion of our leaders for design have left a profound impact on me. Witnessing their commitment to managing projects and their genuine love for design has been motivating and has fueled my passion for the field. My team played a crucial role in my development, emphasizing dedication, customer focus, and excellence in design. I learnt from them the importance of detail and prioritizing customers above everything. Tata Elxsi offers various courses & certification programs. I recently obtained a few certifications through the Learning and Development portal, which enhanced my overall skills. I was also nominated for the Young Leads Program, reflecting Tata Elxsi's commitment to nurturing future leaders. The company's culture focuses on customer satisfaction and innovation, motivating me to innovate and push design boundaries. Tata Elxsi has provided me with an opportunity to work with a European OEM onsite. Receiving accolades like the Customer Appreciation Award for high quality and timely delivery and the Extra Mile Award for taking on additional responsibilities further validate my contributions. To new onboarding Elxsians: continuously stay updated with industry trends and build new connections. Transitioning from academia requires applying theoretical knowledge to real-world situations.
