[Whitepaper] Unlocking new #safety standards in #ADAS: The global demand for increased safety in ADAS features is well reflected in the latest version of UN regulation R157 and recent AEB night tests. Specifically, the need to reduce pedestrian injuries (day and night) as well as avoid highway collisions due to fallen objects (AKA ‘lost cargo’) is imminent. The upcoming automotive regulations expand the required operational envelope of ADAS systems by specifying higher speeds (up to 130 km/h), detecting and classifying small, low-reflective objects as drivable or not, in low-light ambient conditions and adverse weather conditions, all while requiring no driver intervention. These regulations set a high standard for the performance of sensor modalities in automated vehicles. This is where #SEDAR comes into play.
