Those designs are featured in a film shot by Femi Oladigbolu in South Africa, which blends together striking designs and breathtaking scenery, as it focuses on a Rousteing-led Balmain Army, composed of models from all across Africa. Balmain x Disney: The Lion King collection finds inspiration in Africa’s artisanal traditions, while celebrating a new generation of African talents : Nika Mtwana, Enfant Précoce, and Cassius Khumalo. VOGUE WORLD The iconic Gigi Hadid closes out last night’s Vogue World Paris runway wearing an astonishing Balmain gown that Creative Director Olivier Rousteing has lovingly dubbed “a dress for a modern goddess”. The billowing skirt recalls the electric blue of the French flag, while a draped gold bustier, armor-like in its construction draws inspiration from the French Revolutionary symbol: the Marianne de France.
