I just went ahead and paid the $99 to be a developer. Download to 2.0 went flawlessly…

You don't have to pay the fee, though doing so has other benefits. You just have to be registered as a developer. I was able to install 2.0 and prior developer betas despite not having paid.

You mean you don't see the option to choose either developer betas or public betas under Software Update?

After you registered for the developer account did you visit the developer site in Safari on the AVP and download / install the Developer Beta Profile? If you didn’t do that you won’t see the option to download the betas when you check for updates.

I see the beta and i was only a developer for one sticker app in 2017 and have been long since out of the program

I’m on VisionOS 1.2, have a developer (paid) apple ID, have visited the developer.apple.com/account page on the AVP, but can’t get the beta downloads option to appear in Software Update. Developer betas used to show up when I was on 1.1. Any suggestions?

1. On your VP - open Settings
2. Search Beta
3. Select your ID and sign out and back in
4. Select VisionOS 2
5. Profit
