👩🏼🏫 Trainer in Focus ✨
Sarah began her teaching journey in 2010 during an internship in a rural community in Mexico where she taught French. After completing her studies, she worked for an NGO in Paris. In 2016, Sarah resumed teaching French when she moved to Rio de Janeiro, and even after returning to Paris in 2021, she continued teaching. Sarah started working with BiCortex Languages a little under a year ago, and it has been a wonderful collaboration.
Sarah greatly appreciates the trust and flexibility BiCortex gives her to plan her lesson content. “The team at BiCortex is responsive and helpful,” she says. She also enjoys the variety of learners she connects with through the platform.
🥧 Lemon pie is her favourite dessert! Additionally, Sarah loves experimenting with Korean, Italian, and Lebanese cuisine recipes. In her free time, she loves climbing, playing chess, and learning new languages. Currently, she is learning Italian.
Sarah describes teaching as being more about listening and adapting than imposing knowledge. “Pay attention to the specific needs of each learner, their interests, and learning patterns. Remember, they have a lot to teach you too,” she emphasises.
For as long as she can remember, Sarah has always loved teaching, but she also dreamt of becoming an astronaut. One important piece of advice she has learned during her teaching career is that repetition is key. When a task seems too difficult or a goal seems unreachable, consistent effort will eventually make it seem effortless. “Through repetition and patience, you will achieve what you are aiming for and reinforce the conviction that with practice, anything is possible.”
🌿 When Sarah takes time off work, she loves being surrounded by nature on holiday. She often hikes in France, Italy, or Spain during the summer.
