  Compared to other downloaders I've tried, there is no comparison to FLV's performance. Much more sites available, downloads full playlists, will convert on the fly, quick downloads & excellent user interface.

  I used to love Freemake Video Downloader but recently it has often quit working for me. In searching for a new free app I downloaded FLV Downloader and tried it. So far it has worked very well and I'm very satisfied with it. It downloads streaming video from all of the sites I've tried so far with no problems. It also works pretty fast.

  Pros

  Seems like a good product, not overly complicated and bloated like many competitors. Haven't been able to figure out why downloading videos from facebook doesn't work. May be after i have the full paid version. I'll update later.

  -not free. -needs yearly renewal !! so it better be real good.

• Best YouTube Downloader, Have Tested over 45 softwares

  Pros

  No need to visit the target video. Just Save the link / links in a file and then mark >>> copy and >>> paste them them in Kotato FLV Downloader, one at a time. Have been using this software since March 11, 2013 (Transaction ID: 8HK60571AV7001646) and been upgrading it, when so ever, YouTube has changed the configuration at it's site making prior versions of softwares un-workable

  Cons

  1 No ause and Re-Sume function 2 No partial download (needed for big size files), so that one can check the video Aspect Ratio and Audio quality. Very large number of movies (mostly Indian films) related videos have cut at Top and Bottom, and a 16 x 12 frame (ie 4 x 3 = 1.33 Aspect Ratio) is Labelled as 16 x 9 = HD video There is a way around this software's short-coming, but will write about it at another time 3 The add-on Player and Converter are of limited usage, atleast for me. There are too many variables for Video, Formats, Size, Aspect Ration, Frames per Seconf (FPS), Kbits and Audio Levels. and codecs

  Pros

  I was searching for something simple, I found not so simple, in that it is so much more then I expected. Yet, the basic defaults provide the ease I I require, insert inport link, direct output location. done! . I tried a couple of others, one wouldn't do you tube, and 2 others loaded my computer up with who knows what. I spent 2 hours cleaning up the mess provided by the others and screwing around. Not only does it download, but it converts your videos into 16 other formats. Then there is audio ... And it's super fast too. This needs to be listed as #1. Don't waste time on the others!

  Kotato's FLV downloader/FLV converter is an amazing easy to use software that allows you to retrieve FLV from youtube and allows you to convert it to a big array of different formats. Another excellent point of this software is the FLV converter, in case you do not need the FLV downloader part. The quality of the converted files is absolutely on par with the input file, but still reduces the size of large files while maintaining the fidelity of the images. All in all this is an excellent piece of software. I just wish they had a free version. try it out yourself, if you don't like it, worst case scenario is you uninstall it. As far as what these other people's review are saying that it installed a lot of Malware or that you can't paste, those must be isolated incidents as I got no malware and pasting is super easy.

  1.Interface is so simple and straightforward. 2.It's download speeds are super fast. 3.Built in converter. 4.So many options available for conversion 5. Allows multiple downloads which saves time.

  None! Best program I chanced upon so far.

  Summary

  This program is so easy to use, from downloading to conversion of video files, the sound and video quality is very good. Even if the youtube quality is average there are options to enhance the audio too. Definitely recommending this software to all my friends.
