How to record an electrocardiogram with the ECG app on Apple Watch?

Does anyone know if the person wearing the watch needs to hold the crown button while doing and ecg. Thanks

You only need to touch the digital crown for an ECG. Don't press the crown.


By touching the crown with the hand opposite the watch, you complete a closed loop from the sensor on the back of the watch, through your body to the hand touching the crown.
