On July 9, 2024, we successfully held a Tech Day at the headquarters of Li Auto in Beijing, China, in collaboration with our joint venture partner HELLA BHAP Lighting. Li Auto, as one of the most prominent Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, focuses on the high-frequency needs of family users as its value benchmark. It designs its family cars around the actual needs of users, maximizing comfort and convenience. We aimed to gain a better understanding of customer needs and address them through this technology exhibition and in-depth communication, ultimately providing customers with the best possible technical solutions. During the Tech Day, we showcased groundbreaking innovations in lighting and electronics. Highlights included our cutting-edge SSL|HD digital headlamp system, Digital FlatLight, and Front Phygital Shields. 🛡️ The 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫 is a crucial component for protecting your vehicle’s engine. It can help to 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞 from working unnoticed with too little oil, which can lead to expensive engine damage and can also detect overfilling. If the oil reaches too low a level or a critical temperature, an appropriate warning signal can be transmitted to the driver in order to initiate prompt actions. 🔍 How Does the Level Sensor work? The sensor utilizes an ultrasonic measuring principle. An ultrasonic transmitter sends waves to the oil surface, which are then reflected onto a multichip module. Using an integrated algorithm, the module calculates the oil level. Additionally, a temperature sensor measures the oil temperature. 🌡️ The level sensor can perform measurements both when the engine is off (static) and while driving (dynamic).
