Huawei Points Program - Terms and Conditions


The Huawei Points Program (the "Program") is a reward program organised and promoted by Huawei Technologies (UK) Co., Ltd. (“Huawei”), a company incorporated in England and Wales having its registered office at Earley East, Thames Valley Park Drive, Reading, RG6 1PT and whose registered number is 4295981.

The Program allows consumers who have a valid HUAWEI ID (“Participant(s)”, “you”, “your”) to earn points (“Point(s)”) on qualifying purchases made via the HUAWEI UK Online Store (accessible via the website https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/offer/ or the “My HUAWEI” mobile app) (“Official Huawei Channels”).

Points earned from qualifying purchases may be redeemed to receive discounts when purchasing HUAWEI products from Official Huawei Channels. A Participant may check his/her balance of Points in the User Center (“User Center").

These terms and conditions (‘Terms and Conditions’) govern the Program, which includes the collection and redemption of Points. These Terms and Conditions set out the terms of contract between Huawei and each Participant. By participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions:

1. Eligibility and Participation in the Program

1.1 The Program is only open to consumers in the UK and who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older. Businesses are excluded from participating in the Program.

1.2 Those who do not qualify for the Program or otherwise fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions may be prohibited from participating in the Program (including having any Points forfeited) as determined by Huawei in its sole discretion.

1.3 The Participant must have a valid HUAWEI ID account registered via an Official Huawei Channels and log in to the account. Points will not be earned on orders if the guest checkout option is selected. Setting up a HUAWEI ID account is free and is subject to Terms & Conditions. If you do not have a HUAWEI ID account, you may visit the following link and follow the instructions to create one.

1.4 There is a limit of one (1) User Center per person/e-mail address. The User Center and Points are for personal use by the registered account holder only, and usage, sharing or distribution for other purposes, including business purposes, is strictly prohibited.

2. Modification and Termination of the Program

Huawei reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Program in whole or in part (including these Terms and Conditions) at its discretion, at any time with notice.

3. Earning Points

While logged into a HUAWEI ID account, Participants will receive Points on qualifying purchases via Official Huawei Channels (as defined above).

No Points are awarded for products from third party brands, digital products, services, HUAWEI Care (i.e. extended warranty, battery replacement) and business / bulk purchases. Other products may be included or excluded from time to time at Huawei’s discretion.

The standard rate of Points earned on qualifying products is calculated as follows:

(i) 1 Point for every £1 spent (excluding shipping charges). You will only earn Points on the cash element of the purchase based on the net price after any price discounts, voucher codes and Points redeemed (if any). Please note that the collection rate may vary from time to time.

(ii) The number of Points earned will be rounded to the nearest decimal space. For example, a purchase of £40 earns 40 points.

(iii) The total number of Points that can be earned as a result of an order will be displayed (i) at the order summary stage, before payment and (ii) after the order is finalized, in the status tracking of said order.

(iv) Please note that it may take up to 14 days after purchase for the Points to appear in the Participant’s User Center.

(v) If Points were earned or redeemed on a cancelled or refunded transaction, Huawei will reverse the associated Points earned or redeemed.

4. Validity and Transferability Limitations

4.1 No Cash Value or Transferability

Points are not redeemable for cash or vouchers. Points are for the Participant’s personal sue and are not transferable or assignable for any reason. The sale or resale of Points is strictly prohibited. There will be no rollover or transfer of Points to other loyalty programs arranged by Huawei, unless otherwise specified by Huawei in its sole and absolute discretion.

4.2 Points Expiration

Points are valid until 31st December of the second year you receive them. You can see how many Points are expiring soon in the User Center. Once expired, Points cannot be used, this will be reflected in your Points total.

4.3 Viewing Points

The number of Points collected by each Participant will be tracked and displayed in the User Center.

Participants are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their HUAWEI ID account, passwords, and restricting access to their devices and activity through their HUAWEI ID account, including User Center.

4.4 Invalidity

Huawei reserves the right, at the point of purchase or retrospectively, to invalidate or remove a Participant’s Points if it determines that such Points were not validly earned in accordance with these Terms and Conditions .

5. Redeeming Points

5.1 One Point is worth one pence (£0.01) and can be redeemed against purchases of qualifying products from Official Huawei Channels (as defined above) in the UK.

5.2 Points cannot be used for purchases that include: products from third party brands, digital products, services and business / bulk purchases. Other products may be included or excluded from time to time at Huawei’s discretion.

5.3 Once an order that includes the redemption of Points has been placed, the number of redeemed Points cannot be changed. In case of cancellation of the order, the Points will be re-credited to the account within 30 days.

5.4 Points cannot be used / redeemed for orders placed on other accounts. Points can only be used for orders placed on your account. Furthermore, no invoice will be issued with respect to the Points used: the Points used will appear on the invoice in a separate list relating solely to discounts.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 Huawei, and its parent, subsidiary, affiliate, franchisees, and related companies, and each of its and their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, agents and promotional and advertising agencies, successors, assigns, and service providers (collectively the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for any printing or computer error, omission, interruption, irregularity, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of Program materials or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of Program information due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet, at any web site or any combination thereof.

6.2 By participating in the Program, each Participant accepts all responsibility for, and hereby releases and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Huawei and their Released Parties from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses that may arise from actions taken by such Participant and/or Participant’s participation in the Program, or for any harm or injury caused by any third party.

6.3 Huawei excludes liability, to the fullest extent permitted by law, for any loss or damage caused to a Participant arising out of or in connection with the Program. Without prejudice to the preceding restriction, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Huawei’s sole liability will be to credit to the Participant any points which have been wrongly deducted or should have been credited but were not.

6.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit Huawei’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence.

7. Miscellaneous

7.1 Without limiting other remedies, Huawei reserves the right to suspend or terminate the eligibility status, including forfeiture of any Points earned, of any Participant who uses - or is suspected by Huawei of using, in the event of suspension - the Program in an abusive manner inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions or applicable law or has otherwise engaged in misrepresentation or fraudulent activities in connection with the Program. In addition to the suspension or termination of eligibility to participate in the Program, Huawei will be entitled to take appropriate legal and / or administrative action against the Participant, including prosecution, to the extent it deems necessary and in its sole discretion.

7.2 Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Program may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Huawei reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Huawei’s failure or delay to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that, or any other, provision.

7.3 Huawei’s decisions regarding all Program matters will be final, including whether a purchase qualifies for Points. No correspondence will be entered into.

7.4 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.

7.5 You may not but we may assign, change or otherwise dispose of rights under these Terms and Conditions. Any attempt by you to do so shall be void.

7.6 This Program and the Terms and Conditions herein shall be governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
